Why can't the author just let the bad guy bad till the end? You gotta be kidding me... So Itachi planted hatred in Sasuke and made him a 'revenger' so he can make Sasuke strong enough to 'save the sinobi world' if he happens to fail taking Sasuke's eye in the first place. Or maybe Itachi planned all this and lost by purpose. But seriously, this is getting out of hand. Itachi acted like a bad guy in every way, and it was so save the sinobi world.. you have to be kidding me.

What annoys me much more is that again there isn't an answer to the question who the fuck is Tobi damn it I'm pissed.

This was very much in the realm of possibility, since Naruto is a shounen manga after all. Sasuke must feel like the dumbest person in the world.

Though I must say, WTF KISHIMOTO?!?! Post timeskip Sasuke has shown to be one of the most powerful characters in the series, and now you upgrade his sharingan with Itachi's MS's? Utter BS imho. I'm only relieved of the possibility that Sasuke may go blind someday. Not as good as his eyes being ripped from their sockets, but oh well.

On a side note: Is it just me, or does this storyline remind anyone of the storyline in MGS 3 involving The Boss? (note: I never played an MGS game so I could be wrong, but I followed along as my roommate played them)

stabs Kishimoto in the face repeatedly

His story feels like a scitzo is writing it. I wish for once he could leave a character's personality the way it started, personally I'm getting sick and fucking tired of the "he was acting bad but he's really a good guy," we already have a couple semi-major characters like that in Gaara and Neji. It would've been nice if he used a bit more originality in setting up this twist rather than using the same tired old device.

well, it's not quite the same device. Itachi was more a deliberate embrace of an evil appearance. Gaara and Neji were just good people with warped intentions. They had no plan to do good, just to have revenge. Gaara was not killing people for any reason other then to 'prove that he was alive' or some such nonsense--not exactly saving the world kind of stuff.

Not that this was completely unexpected, I mean the whole forehead poke was a definite indicator of Itachi's not completely evilness. It almost restored him from maniacal look early on in the SasIta fight as far as potential to be someone with good intentions.

And i definitely believe that Itachi is still evil. I mean, it was his Amaterasu that kept Tobi's mask ON, a place it has no right to be. Interesting how tobi had to go into the shadow to get rid of it though. Perhaps it revels something about his ability?

That was before he betrayed my trust that much ! Come on Tobi took his damn mask off, I really thought Kishimoto wouldn't use some sleazy back door but, oh no,look out, Sasuske was cursed !!! Pretty much what I expected, none the less beautiful though *tear. Itachi wasn't the slighest evil.. it's just that he knew from the very beginning what he was up against, and his 'plan' offered the highest chance of success in the big picture. Couldn't have been easy to put on an act for so long though.. true genius. I'm assuming this will change Sasuke towards a positive direction, hopefully re-uniting with Naruto and the rest.
