Rivals with dignity is what I voted for. If they're obviously low class or disloyal, if they're an obvious bad-guy, it's less interesting. No one in real life is only bad or only good, so just like the protagonist shouldn't be perfect, the antagonist shouldn't be completely dark or without shame.

I cant find anything suit my taste, something like wicked evil, madness, mass murderous. My favourite antagonist is Joker in Batman. It is hard to fine some one that crazy in manga tho...

Traitors. I think they portrait people better, plus in a plot line it makes things more interesting, especially if you don't know who the traitor is or that there's even a traitor infiltrated. =3

what about unclear antagonist?

Just two people with different view points, that actually make you relate to both of them...

I don't mean a Rival with dignity, I mean a bad/good guy that has a good goal, but is willing to do EVIL stuff to reach it, and midway loses its morals... now that I think about it, the only option that is a bit close to what I mean are backstabbers.

and HECK no I don't mean Pain of Naruto... the guy is just plain retarded -_-

My ideal antagonist should be a psychologically disturbed, insane bastard. Fortunately there are a lot of those types 😀
