Yes!!! Finally, a real human subject to test my hypotheses.........Hope you don;t mind, it's something to satisfy my curiosity. Say....why would a mother read Ouran Host Club......hmmmmm!!! Very suspicious.

Imagine that.....a whole continent of people born on the same day with the same DNA. AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Twins are cool. It's like having another you that you can trust all the time........or maybe it's the good twin and evil twin...or evil twin and evil twin.

Yeah, having twins is fun. biggrin A whole continent...hmmmm...well they'd be either all male or all female, and they'd all look (mostly) the same, so it'd be an interesting experiment but I wouldn't want to live there!

Good twin/evil twin...heh...well they trade off a lot. ^_~

Ho ho ho, I'm so evil. so why would a MOTHER read something like Ouran Host Club?

Same reason I read most things, because it looked interesting~ (Actually I didn't like the manga so much, but the anime was a lot of fun.)

The whole MOTHER thing is a bit over-emphasized, btw. Just because I have kids doesn't mean I'm automatically traditional-conventional-one-track-mind-picture-of-a-housewife, you know. ^_~

Yes, Fruits Basket is pretty good, although it drags on for quite a while...But it ended! That's a good thing!

Ouran High School Host Club is good.

However.....I think the Twins are gay. Just look at the beginning of Ouran High School Host Club Episode 15. Seriously....why are they in the same bed?

from the beginning you can tell they are on the border of having twincest xP

that's supposed to be their selling point, though?

What is this doing in Manga general? none
Moved.

penguin kakumei is pretty.
And everything that's drawn by yuki kaori looks good.
sahara mizu's shoujo works.

Vampire Knight
And anything by Tinker. Or CLAMP

Check out my lists: I usually read manga with nice art

Sidenote: lets try to stay on topic guys, there seem to be lots of irrelevant posts.

Let me see, well drawn shoujos you say
I would recommend all the works of

CHIBA Kozue---> 24 Colors, 7 Genme wa Himitsu,Hidarite no Love Letter, etc. Her works are extraordinarily well-drawn!

Full Moon wo Sagashite, The Gentlemen's Alliance and other mangas by the mangaka.

That's all I can think of now, hope it helps!

I like all of TANEMURA Arina's work. Her backgrounds are spectacular. There's always so much going on.

Oh, and 24 Colors was a beautiful story.

is there such a thing as well drawn shoujo?

It's a matter of tastes you know... Even though I don't like the drawing style (WAY to big eyes, ALL the guys beeing SO feminine looking, even the suposedly super bad boy...), I still do think that actually shoujos have generally a very good art quality.

I suppose you are right about the skinny body, big eyes, feminine guys. But it's what makes it shoujo. Not a lot of romance fans like big hairy muscle manly man........which is like looking at an ape or something. As they say, they want something "Refreshing!". Like a girl yet handsome guy. This goes a long way back into the earliest mythology made by human. Well technically if you count Beowulf as old, then its the stories after Beowulf. Cause Beowulf is about manly man. so stories after Beowulf. Like the story of King Arthur, Lancelot and such. I guess the conclusion is that feminine guys are the new fad in town for boy gay guys and regular girls.

On a side note......twins.....biologically identical. A clone of each other. Yet different personality develops as they grow older, even when their environment are constant. Why is this? Why?

Holy Crap, I talked a lot!

And I thought Hostile only likes Lolicon Phoenix......

You know what's interesting Identical twins that grow up seperate are more similar than ones' that grow up together bigrazz I think there is almost always a need to individualize identical twins when they are together :'3

As for well drawn, it depends on your taste.
I mean spectrearc metions CLAMP but clamp is only so so for me XD
Bride of The Water God is gorgeous, seriously.
Princess - though it a takes a few volumes to get going and if you don't find the politics interesting your out of luck, but great story
Akagami no Shirayukihime - the series/art has a 'refreshing' feel
Haruyuki Bus cute/pretty style
there are so many, do you perhaphs like old school shoujo because I highly recommend Swan if you do, over the top dewey eyes, roses. It's rather pretty XD

Ciel is really good, the name is short too. Everyone commenting on Ciel says that the art is breathtaking, even though there are only 20 chapters out so faaaarrr! So read it.

I haven't seen any of CLAMP's work other than Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle yet, but I would have to agree. The 'action' swishes feel sloppy to me, as if they don't want to be bothered to draw detail. I'm sure that's not their mindset, but the artwork relies on that style too much in my opinion. I'd have to see some of their other work to honestly compare, though.

I think it depends on your taste...for me I would say these are pretty nice drawn:
Kimi ni Todoke
Grimms Manga
Dengeki Daisy
Heaven!!
Paradise Kiss
Otomen
Ludwig Kakumei
Superior
Merupuri
Lovely Complex
The Bride of the Water God (really detailed, but sometimes the characters look out of the ideal proportion, anyway it's still a great art)

I listed my favorites works, but you can look others mangas from the same author.
