I'm not particularly concerned with soullessness. I don't believe in anything Christianity (or most religions) say about the afterlife at all, so I don't think it's a particular issue. But if someone was willing to give me a power that huge for something intangible, I'd do it.

On a sidenote, I have a contract somewhere in my room entitling me to a friend's soul upon his death. I gave him a dollar for it (he wanted to buy a soda but was short a bit).

That would work, after gaining your ability you can go with the devil that owns your soul and order him to give it back.

And you have an absolute control power and your soul.

That certainly is true. In an actual circumstance though, I think the idea of power would be too intoxicating for me to resist it anyway.

@Marmot: That's ingenious. Although it assumes that a being that can grant that kind of power can't arbitrarily take it away... Might be worth the gamble anyway though.

I'd first assess said value of soul, keep half of it and sell the other half for the ability to instantly know all past/present information about a given object (living/non-living).

Then I'd invest the other half into demonic weapons, get some deals going. Become a stakeholder in Satan's business, then start a Holy War between Angels and Demons. Profit would skyrocket. I'd then turn traitor and turn over weapon shipments to Angels.

I keep the profits and turn them back into a far, far stronger soul than I previously had. Become immortal, drink some Tequila on a beach and enjoy life. 😀

Quite a depressing way of immortality but i bet that's the way satan'd give it to u since u gave ur soul to him.

Or u could end up like Dorian Gray but that's even more disturbing.
