But from what I'm reading at the tech discussions.... Windows fanboys think it's great, Linux fanboys think it's crap, Mac fanboys are too busy applying make-up to care.... and the neutral parties are skeptical, but still think it's better than Vista.

Vista wasn't that bad. Especially for gaming, If your computer was good enough it looks amazing to play intensive games.

I heard from some people that windows 7 isn't so bad, but there are bugs of course, that's why it is in beta.

If you ask me, XP was the worst.
It simply vomited error reports
and failed to read memory.

I'm a big Vista supporter and User. I LIVE on Vista. It seems window 7 is a lot like Vista. I hope Window 7 can bring up Microsoft's reputation and beat back the Linux freaks and the Mac weirdos.
