Quote from WrldDmntr

So when I was little, my teachers gave me a worksheet that had these word game(ish) things on it...
Example1:
B OW

is ELBOW because the "BOW" is in the shape of an "L" (EL)

Example2:
man
board

is man over board because the word man is literally over the word board.

Example3:
nana fish

is tuna fish (two-na fish)

Example4:
ecnalg

is backwards glance.

Example5:
dice dice
is paradise (pair of dice)

So my question is, what's the name of these things? Is there even Thank you in advance! 🙂

if I remember correctly it is a 'play on words' aka (puns) but I may be wrong...
http://volweb.utk.edu/Schools/bedford/harrisms/puns.htm <--- this might help

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

I think so. Unless your laptop is really old.

I need computer related help.

I got this EPUB file, which I managed to open.
But the font is really messed up.
One line is in bigger bold, the next is in regular and smaller.
I can't read like that! >:-(

So my question is...
Is there a way to convert such files to txt?
If not, are there any better programs which would enable me to change the text?
Because the one I've got - you can't do anything with it...

Thanks in advance.

Oh, thanks, I'll try that.
The online converters I tried don't support this type. =/

I just need to convert it to something
and then to word so I can fix it (if it's still messy). :3

I need a few examples of an "additional source that is not a reference material." My brain is not working at it's best, and I don't know what would not be a reference material.

Please reply as soon as possible.

is there a database for books like MU for manga? Those what I found aren't that handy as MU. I just want to search for a book by genre (this), year, author, etc, with many titles. So, what is the best books database you know? thanks

Google book search is the best one I've found. :'DD

Just put the the genre on the subject line. It usually shows good results. O_O

goodreads.com is pretty useful for book enthusiasts.

I've been riding the city bus for a while now, & it seems there are two different ways of getting off the bus:

  1. Stay in the seat until the bus is completely stopped & the doors are open, then stand up, walk to the front, & get off the bus

  2. As the bus is slowing for the stop, stand up & walk to the front, so that you can get off the bus as soon as it's completely stopped & the doors are open

There don't seem to be any Official Rules for this, as far as I can tell - #1 seems a little safer, but #2 is a LOT more efficient.

Is either one the "right" way?? 🤣

^ what? o_o lol

I take the public bus regularly and it doesn't really matter. o.o There is no "right" way, although yes, #2 is more efficient, especially when the bus is crowded as hale and you're sitting in the back.

Otherwise, it doesn't really matter~
