Record of the Warrior--> Utopia's Avenger

Naruto ----> Naruto (I believe it should never have existed in the first place ^_^)

Kimi wa Pet (You are my Pet, or You're my Pet) was released as Tramps Like Us. I'm not sure where the hell they got the idea. I think it may be a Bruce Springsteen reference. Seriously though, it's weird.

i haven't actually read it, but seeing a book called "eerie queerie" made me decide that they should just leave the titles of manga in japanese and stop screwing them up.

Aren't they a little better at that nowadays? Leaving names what they are instead of english-anizing them?

Konjiki no Gash Bell!! ---> Zatch Bell

They could have at least left it as Gash instead of Zatch. Plus they changed some of the characters names.

for VJain: I'm not 100% sure but i think the original name of it was Wall Flower not Perfect Girl Evolution so it would be the other way around.

Worst name changes I can think of? When they change the title of something that was originally titled in english anyway, like "Power" -> "Girl Got Game". >_>;

For Solaris27: I'm not absolutely certain either, but I think Perfect Girl Evolution was a closer translation of its original japanese title "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge" then the western release titled "Wallflower".

Yeah, Utawarerumono did piss me off. I'm pretty sure thats the anime, though. The manga hasn't been liscensed, and as this is a manga site, I am not sure that applies at all.

Oh, a really annoying one is Shonan Junai Gumi - GTO: The Early Years.

WTF is this Wonder Years bullshit ripoff name?

At least they left Shonan Junai Gumi on the cover, they get partial credit for that one.

And while I am at it, Ikkitousen - Battle Vixens. I heard the manga-ka himself approved Battle Vixens, because he knows english or something, but, still, Ikkitousen is much better.

Change Guy > Quantum Mistake

With something like changing Change Guy into Quantum Mistake I can understand the annoyance in that, but with something like Ikkitousen, I fail to grasp the logic. Do you dislike it because of the name, or dislike it because of its language conversion? Why would Ikkitousen be better since the majority of their audience would not understand what that meant? I would think that Battle Vixen would be a more suitable name considering the audience.

Some of the worst name changes happened in naruto manga.

For example: Shadow clone technique (kage-bunshin no jutsu) became Art of the Doppelganger .... >_<
