On shelves mostly, with my favorites within reach. (I have shelves in my room reaching the ceiling, but not all for manga).
But also in stacks, boxes, in boxes on top of the closet, on other random shelves, in boxes scattered around the house, etc, etc, etc.

Ever since I've noticed a few of the older ones were getting too ragged, I keep a few of the open-air ones in poly--bags. Did you know there were special "manga-bags"?

On shelves too, in a way so that the sunlight doesn't reach them, neither does the dust. But I still keep them so that I can take one anytime really easily

I have no shelves, so mines in stacks. I don't really like to keep manga that I didn't care for though, so I usually make it my mission to find someone who wants to read it.

i was kind of obsessive at first and wanted to keep it in the best condition possible - so i put it in my wardrobe... (yeah, a definite priority. more so than my clothes^^)

now i put them all out on the shelves and have some copies lying around the room.

On bookshelves, in stacks and boxes. Depends on where they best ffit in. don't really take obsessive care of them, just make sure, they aren't too dusty if I haven't read them in awhile or get water on them

In a box in my closet i have a couple i regret buying got rid of gravitation ones except for ex going to give my niece my two volumes of gentlemens alliance cross and possibly peach girls sae's story i don't hate those i just realized i'm not much of a shoujo fan.

After I read them, I stack them somewhere where it won't be ripped, stepped on, creased, written on, spilled on, etc. These days though, I take extra care cos' when I pulled out my box full of manga and opened it, half the amount of the books in there had pages that were yellow and were curved funny. 🤣

I have three boxes and one shelf for mangas only lol

Most new mangas and ongoing are on the shelf; the rest I put in boxes especially the one that are completed or has too many volumes. But for the one I bought RAWs (In Jap or Chin), I usually debinding them for scanning purpose and then I wont bother with them anymore. There are practically disposed or somewhere in the shelf xD

I don't usually reread what I buy but if I'm too bored, then I will. I wish I never reread cause once I did, I will take out all mangas I had and throw it on the bed and read them all. Of course then I will have a freaking good time putting them back lol Not all mangas are mine though, some are my siblings but since my room is the only one with the shelf, they put everything in my room.

Paper turns yellow if it's not acid free and exposed to air and sunlight. Wrapping them in plastic to prevent both elements is a common practise, but I just don't see the point. I'm aging, and so is my collection; I think I had to come to terms with that, and although I feel sad to see the paper weakening and turning yellow, at least there is solance that you've read and read them and that the stories are part of who you are.
I have been very interested to hear how you guys store your collections! I have a box full of manga that I brought and didn't like, or got bored with and never finished collecting. It's not a big box, in fact there is only a dozen or so titles. One day I might ebay them, but by then who would want a bunch of aged books? The hoarder in me can justify keeping anything lol.

Well i have a few hundred on bookshelfs but i ran out of them so i have a couple hundred in piles and i got bored and made a bookshelf out of extra manga i didnt like,plastic and super glue are pretty sturdy
