I don't really take care of them. I find them at random places, like the other day, I was cleaning the laundry room and I found one inside one of the baskets. That is unless they're super special. Usually the more expensive/harder to find ones are safely tucked in the bookshelf.

I love it when manga gets that creased, well-used look. That makes it mine, somehow... (Lol, possessive, much?) Anyway, it becomes part of my 'home' when it looks like it's been read cover to cover a billion times.

So I don't do anything special to protect my manga. Aside from putting it properly on a shelf, but that's more to do with making it easier to find something than it is to actually maintain the manga... Lol. God bless alphabetical order...

Quote from deelink

Paper turns yellow if it's not acid free and exposed to air and sunlight. Wrapping them in plastic to prevent both elements is a common practise, but I just don't see the point. I'm aging, and so is my collection; I think I had to come to terms with that, and although I feel sad to see the paper weakening and turning yellow, at least there is solance that you've read and read them and that the stories are part of who you are.
I have been very interested to hear how you guys store your collections! I have a box full of manga that I brought and didn't like, or got bored with and never finished collecting. It's not a big box, in fact there is only a dozen or so titles. One day I might ebay them, but by then who would want a bunch of aged books? The hoarder in me can justify keeping anything lol.

Just give them away man, some other kid might love the series. There's always libraries, why not start up a public manga collection.

I don't actually have any manga books but if I did I would just stack them in the cupboard and try keeping them out of the sun, I wouldn't bother wrapping them in plastic or anything.
