Does it exist?

I wasn't planning on ever posting anything, but I wanted to know...
Is there a shoujo manga with an otaku-like male lead? Or just a wimpy, loser male lead in general. Basically, he doesn't need to be a hard-core otaku, though it'd be better.
Also, are there any manga that have action and/or mystery and are psychological with absolutely no romance (I'm all for strong friendships, though) or with an exceptionally good romance that doesn't take much plot space?
(Please no yuri, ecchi, yaoi, shota, loli, hentai, or smut. I'm fine with shounen-ai/shoujo-ai and everything else...)

Spiral -> romance doesn't take very much space to to the plot. Best mystery manga ever imho.
Eternal Sabbath -> another great plot. Romance kicks in in the second part but it's so a good story that you shouldn't miss it.
Death Note -> I don't like it at all, but it's so famous that you probably wanna check it out.
For the other one, sorry i don't read many shoujo.

Thanks. It didn't link to the shoujo version, but I found it. Actually, I knew about it already, but it always slips my mind.
Now the question is... Are there any more?

Thank you. I will be very, very busy. The good news is I don't have a social life to lose.

Yeah, I've been reading Death Note. It's not too bad...
The other two don't sound to bad. Thanks.

There's something called Ani-com, but only one chapter has been scanlated for now. Sorry I can't be much of help.
For the second request, I recommend:
Pluto
20th Century Boys (and its sequel)
Bloody Monday
Blue Heaven
The Hour of the Mice (highly recommended)
Skyhigh (and its sequels)

Ani-Com technically fits in my description, but wasn't really what I was looking for. (His otaku-ness is only a part of his otherwise perfect personality... I was looking for more of a wimp, I guess.) But it is what I asked for, so thanks.
As for the rest... Thank you! (My second request is definitely making me set for life... Manga-wise, anyway.)

U liek DEATHNOTEZ!!! WATCH CODE GEASS!!! 😛
For the first one... it's not a shoujo at all, but maybe you can try Genshiken, there is not so much romance until the 2nd half of the story, but if you're looking for otaku it's something worthing to check.

As for your shoujo, there is Otomen. He's not totally wimpy, but he is a girly guy who hides it. Sorry if that isn't much help. And I don't know very much seinen/shounen. Yet again, sorry~~! 😲

Yeah, but that's typical seinen, isn't it? Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I've read a bit. It looks pretty good.
Problem is--now I'm dreading the romance somehow.

I've read a bit of this at one point, but it doesn't really fit...
Girly ≠ Wimpy
He isn't flawed enough, I suppose.
Maybe I'm actually looking for one of those wimpy seinen leads to be in a shoujo? (Though I'd love it if they were otaku.)
Thank you, though. There's nothing to apologize for.

NHK ni Youkoso! (Welcome to NHK)
and for your second request
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Yoigoshihen
Hoozuki no Shima
I haven't read them all but I heard they're good.
Hope this helps. ^^
Edit: I remembered 2 more
Doubt (TONOGAI Yoshiki) and Deadman Wonderland
Doubt is really good if you don't mind people dying and Deadman Wonderland is sort of psychological but it takes a long time for the translated chapters to get out.
