"You just know..." is the stupidest reason ever. People who think others fancy them without real reason are just egotists. Someone talking to you, or holding the door open for you, etc., doesn't constitute affection.
The only way I know someone "likes me" is if they tell me, or initiate interaction by means of something like a date. Maybe I'm just dense to the whole flirting/romance thing, and if so, I'm glad.

...I have no freaking clue. Now I feel sad. 😢 Maybe...if they tell me directly? I don't even try asking them if they like me if they look at me a lot or something because I'll usually just assume that they were looking behind me or something. So, yeah, telling's the only way.

Well, if a girl is willing to stick around for a really extended period of time or perhaps just willingly goes on her own to see you often, then most likely she likes you. Even if you're rambling on about some topic for hours and hours and she is the one listening the entire time. If a girl actually stays instead of giving some excuse about something she had to do, then she obviously thinks you're worth her time.

I'm not sure for guys, but it could be the same maybe? If he's willing to go out on a limb to see you? Like this one time, before we started dating, my boyfriend visited me at my dorm at midnight because he wanted to help me with a project. We were using Skype but it screwed up so he decided to help me in person, and the distance between our dorms is decently lengthy. A good 10-15 minute walk. I don't think Frinds would do that?

if a guy decides to go up and talk to you, he is interested in you, or atleast attracted to you, alot of guys go up to a girl and become friends with them because we're attracted to them (im guilty of doing that a couple of times), or unless the girl is sitting right next to them during class, kinda hard not to talk to someone that sits next to you, and its a big give away if the guy starts to flirt lol

and its obvious with a girl, if they act all touchy and flirty they atleast attracted to the guy
