Austrian "House of Horrors"... Part 2?
Ah, that was the whole point. That was what I meant with that this thread was so one-sided~ There was only one point of view.
As Mams would say;
"Let's discuss human psychology!" cue fiery eyes 🤣
@Heaven: Well, I refused to even read one article about it. So I actually don't know much about it. 🤣 I just hate it how people blow things up. I mean, it happened in Austria! Most Americans don't even know the country! (I kid, I kid 😛 )
My point is; who cares? This is like one guy out of the 8.000.000 that's gone psycho. Big deal, there are always some rotten apples. Point is everyone has their own problems (I've got mine, like I care some guy tried to screw his daughter a 1000 miles away), please stick with yours and try to solve them, instead of nosing into another's problem. -.-
It just feels more like... gossiping. Yeah, that's it, gossiping! I hate gossiping. >_<
Let natural selection do its course. 😀

Gahh, I don't even want to think about rebutting any of the aforementioned insaely-long post's "devil's advocate" arguments, so I won't. Besides, they've all been rebutted rather well by others.
What I'm curious about, though, is how people would view it if the relationship wasn't incestuous. I mean, what if she'd been kidnapped or something and imprisoned in the same manner by someone she didn't know or wasn't related to? Would that be considered worse, or would it be less serious? I can't think of any other cases this extreme, regardless of whether there was an element of incest or not, so unless you can point me to one, I suppose this is all hypothetical. And yes, I am aware of the first "Austrian House of Horrors" case, but when considering the differences in length of time and children borne, I don't think the two are entirely similar.
But still, I do wonder how much of the outrage/shock from this stems from the incest element, as opposed to the whole ongoing sexual and emotional abuse element.
Anyway, that's my random thought of the day, plopped out in one big paragraph. Any opinions?

Hmm, you have a point. ;P Everyone's focusing on the incest part. -.- Well, if it was just an unknown girl that would be worse, at least the daughter knows the guy and the house somewhat so she's familiar with the environment, but the unknown girl doesn't. o_o
And are you ridiculing my "devil's advocate" arguments?

Nope, it would've been better if he was a stranger, atleast from the pov of the kids' health. Actually for her it wouldn't have been so scary to be imprisoned by a stranger, opposed to her own father, of all the people from the earth. And even scarier to know you're so closed to your mother and your children/brothers and not be able to do anything.
Remember all those genetic diseases that get carries through cosangvinisation?
That's the biggest problem when it comes to all incest. I'm okay with it as long as it's consensual, but no kids- they'll be born with diseases and will end up ridiculed for the rest of their life.
And from what I heard on TV it gave a horrible name to Austria's reputation, especially in the law department (because the guy only got 15 years of prison).
@Doc, 2 posts earlier: We're not gossiping, we're debating~. And yeah, I agree, lots of people (scary enough, most of them already finished college) mixing up Austria with Australia -____-''
