Hi, just when I thought there wasn't anymore interesting manga and anime I found this. Wondering if there is anything similar to it. It would be a plus if it was anime but manga is totally fine as well. Looking for any anime or manga similar to Hakkenden - Touhou Haken Ibun in the ways listed below (having all would be a plus but as long as it meets one of the criteria please list it):

  1. Plot

  2. Relationship between Shino and Sousuke: hints at shounen ai or at least very strong feelings toward each other even if not romantic love, must be where one has personality like Shino (bratty, arrogant, and special in some way if possible) and other like Sousuke (caring, allows the person to be a brat but scolds when doing something morally wrong)

It would also be a plus if it was bishounen as well or as long as the drawings are nice.

An example would probably be 07-ghost: relationship between Frau and Teito. Although Teito isn't as bratty as Shino, Frau is caring although sometimes he shows it weirdly and scolds Teito when needed. They also have strong feelings for each other and seems to me like it hints as shounen ai but people might differ in opinion.

So far, that's all that comes to mind but I'll update my request if I think of anything else.

Hope there's something like this out there 😀

No.6 should serve you well, plus there's an anime and manga.

The manga Jokers is filled with various strong relationships and the mc is a complete brat.

Saiyuki has four guys but the strongest relationship is between sanzo and goku and yes, goku is a brat sometimes and sanzo scolds him. Its also an anime and manga (based off journey to the west.)

Owari no seraph has a strong relationship between the two mains. MC is a brat and the other scolds...or more like lectures him.

Number Has loads of ambgiuous relationships bordering on shounen ai. The mc has his brattish moments...much more than teito.

Toukaidou hisame and Bara no maria fit quite well, but the relationship is less ambiguous as the two non-mcs openly pursue the mc's and get rejected by the mc but still follow them and try it on.

Golden days has the same relationship but they aren't very bratty. One is a little more than the other, but not by much. They do scold each other from time to time.

Now that you mention it, No. 6 does fit the criteria. Loved it so much it felt too short T.T

I watched Journey to the West when I was young so I don't think that Saiyuki quite fits what I'm looking for.

Thanks for all your other recommendations though. I haven't read any of the rest and as far as I can see right now it totally fits my criteria. Those should keep me busy for awhile though I won't be reading those that are incomplete yet b/c they are new and so little chapters are out T.T I'll put them on my wishlist and wait for more chapters before reading them.

Thanks!
