Bishies: love 'em or hate 'em

It really depends on whether I like the art style and story. If I don't like, I don't care.
Some mangas have art styles that are a huge turn-off. I guess those supposed "bishies" are really not my cup of tea and I won't even read them...

of course it'd be great if they have an interesting personality and character etc etc, but... who can really hate eye candy? 😀
looking for this yaoi title; any help is appreciated!

When I see one, I turn into some kind of squeeing fangirl monster. I can only keep that dark side of me contained for so long before one of those irrepressible grins break across my face. It's not something I'm proud of. So yes.

Don't love them nor hate them, it's fine if they're there or not.

Bishies are alright if they aren't flat, useless characters who look like they got spat out by an archetype machine. Unfortunately, this makes only 1 in 50 bishies actually worth anything.
As long as they have some substance/character, meaning they are USEFUL not some decoration (depends on the genre as well)
same thing to bishoujos

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

I grasp that shoujo readers like their bishounen characters.
What I don't understand is why they're so prevalent in battle manga. If you take 2 guys from a random shounen battle manga, the one that looks more like a fucking fairy will be stronger 9 times out of ten, despite having sticks for limbs.

Of course; why wouldn't good looking characters be liked? Assuming that they've got personality, that is.

Love them, but they're also not necessary if the story isn't aimed in that particular direction. Characters with actual personalities are also more attractive in my opinion anyways.
As long as the story and characters are solid, then it's all fine. 😀

I love sexy bishies GRANTED they have a personality. I hate flat characters wheither they are pretty or not. But in general I love bishies. Yum.
Also if the bishie has long hair I'm done for. Drooling fangirl/vegetable.

I love well drawn people. Some bishies are not just well drawn but have a personality too. lol, there are quite a few mangaka's that just draw bishies, but they have no personality or the only thing you remember about their personality is that the like the main character... sooo original...

don't really care what a character looks like I will enjoy reading about them if they are interesting, boring characters are no fun, even if they are pretty.
