I like 'em, for the most part. Sometimes there'll be art that I can't stand, but I'm pretty tolerant. Anyway, I'm omnivorous. I do admit, I'll take muscles over lack thereof....hunts for a drooling emoticon, and regretfully gives up Roronoa Zoro is one of my favorite guys..... I think I'll pass on the sumos though. And 300 is too much. They're just all muscle. And bellowing....no.

Funkmu, do you object to Nakamura Yoshiki's two big ones? I.e. Ren and Ryuji? You've certainly got your originality there.

Incidentally, the bishounen movement makes gender-benders that much more plausible, don't you think? Now even a really pretty girl can pretend to be a guy.... 🤣 And would all these bishie-watchers please tell my mom that Brad Paisley is not androgynous? Eh, there's a reason not to feed her manga...she probably wouldn't appreciate bishounen. sigh

As long as they have an interesting personality (preferably one that doesn't make them perfect), I like 'em.

And even if they DON'T have a good personality, as long as they interact with other characters in a way that's amusing, I'm pretty apathetic about it. Like Tohru from Fruits Basket; her personality is pretty stereotypical for a girl, but she interacts with others in a way that makes her at least somewhat amusing.

First of all, 21 isn't too old to be a fangirl. And secondly, I've never heard of a bishoujo but if they're just bishies in girl form then they're just as bad.

I find them to be horribly 1 dimensional and bland. And seriously... how can anyone be attracted to that look? I for one if I ever saw someone with those features IRL I'm most likely to run screaming or to try a spinning heel kick on him/her (depending on how human "it" will look... I wouldn't take the of risk hitting a human being just because it's ugly).

Anyway, in manga, if the story is interesting enough... and the bishies blandness isn't pronounced enough to ruin the story for me, I can keep reading happily. Otherwise I just can't...
