I'm looking for manga where the protagonist has a monster inside of him/her-self and has to struggle to retain their humanity.
The monster can be an actual beast, a murderous split-personality, a disease/sickness, or whatever.
If you suggest naruto, 666satan, or something like samurai deeper kyo, I will rip your head off and eat it. lol 🤢
Shonen is fine, but I'm looking for something that goes into more plot exploration and character development. Something like Parasyte, or Dawn-Chilly Hands. 🤣
I ish a cleaner.

The characters of Claymore sounds somewhat like what you are searching for...
And maybe Zero from Vampire Knight...

It's actually not that hard to post links, just use the "manga" tags in the above toolbar. For example:
title <== just replace "title" with the correct spelling of the series you're referring to.

If you're okay with shoujo there is Kanata Kara. The heroine is weak and powerless physically, but she doesn't whine and worry about pointless things like most other shoujo heroines.
