Mini, for miniature, and Ukasu [浮かす], for 'to raise, to rise'

How much effort put into the artwork: 15 mins of Flash, 10 mins for thinking + ideas, so around 25 mins whole

How you think this best represents manga updates: MU is bird-like; she flies around, and when she discovers something, she shares it around - she's curious, and despite how she looks, she likes to talk a lot (>.>)

Time: about 7 minutes of solid line art, 6 minutes of scanning/logoing...13minutes total...

Wasnt the messenger of the Greek gods Hermes, and in the Roman religion his name was changed to Mercury, so hes named after the messenger of the Roman gods (just to clear it up)

Started As
Dirty looking cow I drew on a napkin. I have never been very good at cartooning so I had a hell of a time in Illustrator getting it to look right. Finally decided to add texture and put color manga clips as spots. I wanted it to have a very different look and show a connection to the subject.

How It Represents Manga Updates
Muu the manga cow loves manga so much that it appears on his body! He is made of paper and tons of different manga clips. He may look unassuming but if you aren't careful he will eat your favorite series! He has a face of patience as he waits for the next update on MU.

Every spot has a different manga, fun for a game of recognition!

The fact that Dark Schneider is on there makes this a good one. I even like how you used an image of Horo (from Spice and Wolf), even though I am pretty sure it was from a hentai-type image (as I have seen it before >_>😉.

Name: MAD J. MU- the name comes from the first letter of the first names of me, both my parents and my four little brothers + MU as the last name 😀

EDIT: should there be an option to withdraw a submission and let them resubmit a new one? If there is the I'll make sure to take the new submission in mind while making the 2nd post, which is the actual competition.

I havn't read the manga, yet, so I wouldn't know. I've watched the anime, though, which is noticeable if you see my signature.

Also, if you had checked any of my lists to see if I had read it or not, you'd know that there was no way I could have known that.

Irregardless, I have seen the same image in a hentai doujinshi. Maybe it was just the same pose, who knows.
