Hi guys, I'm wondering if anybody could suggest a manga where the main character starts off as cruel and bad then becomes kind and caring due to love or attachment.
Kinda like superior. I'd like it to be a shounen manga but shoujo is also fine. It's not a necessity but it would also be nice if the manga contained action. Thanks! 😀

Rurouni Kenshin, but the character becomes kind before the start of the manga, though this is shown through an extended flash back sequence (several volumes).

and even then he wasn't all that cruel in the start...

Fushigi Yuugi and Fushigi Yuugi Genbu kaiden
the main guys start as gerks, it lasts longer in Kaiden, but still not a hugely long time 😛 So it mightnt be exactly what you're looking for.

Konjiki no Gash Bell

Near the beginning the main character is kind of cruel but turns nice and caring later on.

Burago(character) is like this too and he's just awesome.

Kyanchome(character) does this to an extent but wasn't all that evil to begin

Samurai Deeper Kyo <--Er, he doesn't turn out completely nice, but is definitely more so in comparison to the beginning of the series.
