Well the human race will go extinct one day, its inevitable. I'm just glad I won't be alive to see that day come.....hopefully =)

As for humans dying out, it'll happen eventually. As for this 2012 thing, it definitely won't.

I believe our species will cease to exist because of evolution eventually. Nothing negative or apocalyptic, just the way of nature. In the future we will have evolved into a new human species.

if we weren't so technically evolved I'd even worry about some animals stealing us the top rank. There are some (like ravens) which are intelligent in a scary way. If animals ever noticed their power all weapons would not help that much^^ (well I've read the book "animal fram" 😁 )

so I think human race will be on the top, untill the earth can't bear us anymore or the earth dies... 😐

Humans aren't really evolving much anymore...we mix our genes all across the planet and due to medical technology "natural selection" doesn't come into play too much.

Depends on how you look at it. The only reason we are at the "top" of food chain, is because we humans, at the current moment in time, have the unparalleled ability to manipulate our resources as we see fit. Not in the who mystical sense, but we do...do it. we aren't the strongest, so we build something that can contest or exceed the strongest and use that. we aren't the quickest, so we go ahead with our resources and build something that is the quickest, the fastest, the hardest, the strongest, the best. That's what puts us at the top....for now. Now that being said, as time goes evolution -while not in the grandiose manner most ppl think of, since evolution can be ground down to the best genes spreading. I found an article about the lactose tolerant gene being more widespread through out the human race as compared to 50 some odd years ago...pity i can't find it now =-=. But back on topic, sooner or later, something has to happen where our ability to manipulate the resources we have will be outdone by another race or species, possibly one not of this world.

It's our technology and accumulated knowledge that gives us an edge over othet animals. A human Lost in the Forest with no tech or the right knowledge is just a moving target with a humongous bull's eye on them.

Logic would also dictate that if an animal/ species with higher level of tech and knowledge appears we humans would be the b**ches 😃
If we don't eradicate ourselves first that is 🤨

Lol, how many people choose 4 rather than 3. In reality we aren't the top at food chain. Try going to the sea or to the jungle and before you know it we are food for the fish.
Apocalypse at 2012? More like a joke to me. There are no indication whatsoever that it will come like in the movies. Even if something happen, most likely some stupid nation unleash its bioweapon or even started a nuclear war not all human will extinct. At most 70% will die, and the rest will repopulate this planet like a cockroach.
If its natural occurence it wouldn't be globalscale in a very short period of time like 1-2 day and then the world destroyed scenario like in the movies.

Right now we're not even at the top of the food chain, since the chain is completely round, and everything has something on top and below it.
