I noticed that when a torrent client goes 10 mb/sec even a dual-core slows down significantly.
But other than that, why some people never get the speed on their torrent client which they should have (roughly equal to their connection speed that is), even when there's a ton of seeders is a mystery to me. Complicated technical reasons?

I thought that I should point out that the downloads cannot exceed the max download speed provided by your ip. So for me I top around 180 kb/sec.
Well like I already said I don't know how those speeds were possible but somehow it must have managed. Since when I started the download I didn't have the episode and when I verified about a min later I did have it completely and working. Maybe I had some sort of black-out or sudden brainfreeze that simulaniously occured with a registering error of the program ^^ Who knows I don't care actually 😛
Anyway I have had downloads @ +1MB per sec for both torrent as http, so there's no doubting that.
Actualy the 147MB/sec speed just has to be an error. Since the theoretical max speed of my connection is 100MBps. Anyway cool error I must say!
I also remember that you can false-register a download speed via http sometimes. If you download a 9MB file and press open instead of save as. Afterwards download it again put choose save as, this time the speed is 9MB a sec. (Because the file was still temp. stored on your drive, so it recalled instead of actualy redownload it). I don't know if that kind of thing is still around, I remember comming across it when I was still download DBZ majin boo saga 😀

I'll go with uTorrent as well, the most lightweight client of the ones I've tried. If anyone has tried a client that's even simpler, please tell me.

Eh...I misread the options & voted for "bittorrent", when I actually use BitTornado.
BitTornado was recommended to me when I first started dling torrents (a year ago? two? not sure...I know I have an old version, tho), it works for me, and I understand how to use it. I tried something else a while back (can't remember what) but it didn't go any faster and seemed harder to use (though that may be just that I wasn't used to it), so I'm sticking with this until I have a real reason to switch.
I watch quite a bit of dorama, so I loooove torrents. 😀

I've used many clients, and for a quite a while too, and I must say, µTorrent, also known as uTorrent, is the most convenient. Less memory use means alot when you are multi tasking in the computer. Also, I think its better in finding and connecting to DHT peers.
As for the site, I usually use http://isohunt.com and http://tokyotosho.com.

I voted "uptorrent" cuz I thought it said uTorrent, but maybe its a typo. This is an ignorant poll. The only two to choose between are Azureus and uTorrent and they aren't even up there.
