Utorrent is light. Azureus hogs too much memory.

I personally like using µtorrent.
It's light, fast and simple.
Now for something a bit different.
i was hoping someone could help me with a little problem I'm having with µtorrent.
whenever I open a torrent with µtorrent, it just won't start.
after I open it and restart my pc, it finally picks up.
but this is annoying because I will have to do this even when other torrents are running correctly on decent speeds, so I have to mess that up to start the new one.
there are enough seeds, no quees and there is no firewall/gateway issue.
anyone has any idea?
If me asking this is somehow against the rules, I apoligize. I just didn't feel like signing up to a new forum just for this one question.

And must surely perish. - J.W. von Goethe

A total no-brainer, µTorrent all the way.
It's just too much better than the others clients so I use it instead of the linux-native clients.

µTorrent
All torrents are bad they are a cheap way to get you to share resources and you will get sued if you use torrents enough because you host illegal files, if you want to know more on why their bad pm me.

Ask away, though you would have done better to ask here
As for the topic, just switched to utorrent from bitcomet last week...

Utorrent. was researching about downloading via torrents when i came upon an article explaining how to boost your torrent speed. ignored it at first and went for Bittorrent. after awhile,i felt it was really slow, so i searched for the article again, and it recommended Utorrent. since then, it's been my most used software on my pc (aside from media players, winrar/zip, etc.)
for those who think torrents are slow, change the settings accordingly (based on your connection). my initial speed was around 20-30 kb/s, with a 512kbps connection (i should mention: the service here is sh**ty. compared to the neighbouring countries, not only do we have to pay 3 times more, the service is so bad, it annoys most who are into online gaming). after changing the settings, (google "your torrent software+increase speed+download") it boosted into 110-120kb/s. not much compared to others, but i'm satisfied by it.
aside from tweaking the settings, there's choosing the torrent files with the most seeds, as many have mentioned, as well as torrent files with the most trackers. it makes a good deal of difference; downloaded the first season of Aria with only 10 seeds, and lotsa trackers, finished it in 3-4 hours as i slept. also, port forwarding (again, google)
as for sites, personally:
Mininova and EZTV - usually for tv shows. check it daily for new torrents
Tokyo Toshokan - for anime
Isohunt and TPB - for old torrents, especially isohunt. their torrent files are packed with trackers sometimes, making it quicker to DL when there aren't many seeders. TPB for those torrents i can't find elsewhere

µTorrent for me as well. Haven't had any problems with it, so I'm happy.

definitely µTorrent/uTorrent
All have flaws.
The old BT is too simple.
BitComet killed my connection
when I used it and I had to plug
the wire to fix it. µTorrent makes
browser lag like hell, mostly even prevents
any kind of access. Prolly the best one I've
used is FlashGet and it isn't even a BT client
to begin with. Demonoid doesn't count it,
so I refrain of using it for uploads. Azerus
had connection issues with my router.
