First of all, this is different from those other list threads! It's better! D; So I've come to notice that there are different interpretations for the list types (wish list, unfinished list, on hold list, etc...), I always thought MU gave descriptions of the list types and users added series to those lists based on those descriptions. xD

So basically, how do you interpret the different lists? I ask because I've looked around and I find it odd how some users use theirs.XD Example: adding a series that is being scanlated to their wish list. O-O

My way~
Reading list: Series I am currently reading.
Wish list: Series that I wish were picked up/Series that have been dropped.
On Hold: Series I've put on hold until I regain interest in them
Unfinished: Series that I won't be finishing.

Of course there is no right or wrong way, I'm just curious. >O

Reading List: Series I'm currently following with a release schedule that is still pretty active.

Wish List: Series that have never been scanlated before by any other group, and that I want to be picked up by scanlators.

On Hold List: Series that have been dropped or eventually abandoned. I keep them in this list, and patiently wait for someone to pick them up again. ;o; (Unless they've been licensed.)

Unfinished List: Series I tried, but I didn't like. This way, I can easier avoid the series I don't like in the releases list by seeing that circular blue icon. o.o/

Completed List: Completed series that I've finished.

Then I have a custom list called "Completed List (scanlated)" for completed series that have been completely scanlated and that seem interesting to me and that I haven't picked up yet. I save those for rainy nights. \o.o/

For myself it is:

Reading List: Series I'm currently reading and/or plan to start reading.
Wish List: Series that haven't been scanlated
On Hold: Series that haven't been fully scanlated and also haven't had a new scanlated chapter in at least a year

For me it's like that:

Reading List -> Manga that I'm reading and for which i wait for updates very badly^^
Wish list -> Everything that looks interesting and that I might read someday when I've caught up with all updates on my reading list (I'm one of those strange ppl who have interpreted the wish list as "manga I wish to read later" ) (by the way where do you put those?)
On Hold -> Mangas which I've begun to read, but will finish later
Unfinished -> same like you

and then I've got lots of specific lists for example...
A wish list with higher priority, since my actual wish list is too big now
a list for manga which i found so horrible that i don't want to meet them while searching by genre, so I mark them as unfinished^^

Reading: Series that I'm currently reading.
Wish: Series that I want to read sometime later.....
Complete: Series that I've finished.
Unfinished: Series that I've dropped and won't be intending th pick them back up......unless I'm going through a weird moment and suddenly decide to re-read them again!
On Hold: Those series that I've read but lost interest goes into this list....I'll possibly pick them up later once my reading list is a little smaller....

I've also made two custom lists of my own:
Dropped by Scanlators: Those are series where I have read all the releases but the scanlators have dropped them because of reasons eg. being licensed. It seems like I will never finish those series...
Unavailable/Discontinued/Hiatus: Pretty self explanatory. Those manga where I've read all the releases but the series is currently on hiatus/discontinued/unavailable due to circumstances eg. author's death, plagiarism dispute so it is currently halted.

Reading list: Stuff I read.
Wish list: Stuff I want to read but didn't get to read yet.
Complete: Stuff I finished reading.
On Hold: Stuff that didn't have releases in years.

Reading List: Series that I'm reading. Although, I'm not up to date on some of the series in that list.

Wish List: Series that I will complete. They're all completely scanlated or released in print form. Which I'll buy if I enjoy it enough.

On Hold: Series that I will not pick up for a while, or I'll never read them again. This list is similar to the "Unfinished List", but I don't use that list at all.

Complete List: I actually don't use this.. I have my own "complete" list which separates genres.

the normal lists:
Reading list- ongoing series that I've read and I'm waiting for the new chapters.
Wish list- series that I want to read but I'm waiting for more chapters to be scanlated before starting.
On hold list- series I've dropped and don't know if I'm gonna try them again.
Complete list- that's pretty obvious

Unfinished - series I have started but have dropped and will likely not continue

Reading List - Series that I'm reading.

Wish List - Series that I want to read later.

Complete List - Series that I've finished.

Unfinished List - Series that I've read, lost interest in and won't be picking back up.

On Hold List - Series that I've read and plan to pick back up later, put on hold for various reasons such as waiting for them to be complete or missing chapters or on hiatus..

And one custom list...

zzzzz - Series that I want/have started reading that aren't being scanned..

And I have an extra account for manga 3 volumes and under using the list the same way

On Hold: Mostly stuff that isn't scanlated anymore, along with a few things that I plan to pick up again sometime, but didn't feel like reading now.

Plus a few custom lists

Paper Reads: Stuff I'm reading and buying from publishers. Not bothering to read the scans.

Turtle: A list I'm using to track the release rate of my scan group.

Reading: Stuff that I'm reading or have read at least 1 chapter of and plan on reading in the near and far future.

Wish: Series I thought looked interesting in either story or art but haven't read any chapter of.

Complete: Series that are complete (in country of origin) and I have finished reading all the chapters/volumes of, scanlated or otherwise.

Unfinished: Series I read some or parts of but got so ridiculous or crappy that I don't ever plan on reading it again, regardless of its completion status in the country of origin.

I don't use the on hold list at all since I don't have any series that are on hold...since it's just a case of me not reading it as often as other series or there hasn't been any releases of it recently...

No custom lists since I don't really need it.

Reading: What I'm currently following/reading at the moment.

Complete: What manga I have completed that are officially completed by the mangaka and fully scanlated.

On Hold: Series that I haven't caught up with and do not intend to catch up with anytime soon unless I'm really bored.

Wish List: I use my wish list as a list for series that I come across and appeal to me in some way that I would like to read but don't have the time to find it and start reading straight away. So I throw it in my wish list so it'll be easier for me to pick a new manga to read when that sudden urge to read something new comes along.

Unfinished: I don't use this. I just leave things in the reading list until I complete it. Even if it's fully scanlated. That's how I view this list by the way. For the manga that's fully scanlated but I haven't finished reading it yet. I'm too lazy to bother using it now..

Reading: The stuff I'm reading

Complete: The stuff I've finished

On Hold: Stuff that have either had no scanlations right now or stuff I've lost an interest in or failed to keep up with.

Wish List: Stuff that I plan to read eventually or things that have no scanlations

Unfinished: Things that I don't plan on finishing anymore.

And a Custom List:
One Shots: For all the Oneshots I've read, since putting them in my Complete List feels like cheating. (at what I can't say.)

And lastly Checking, which I only use when I'm checking to see if there have been any releases of things on my on hold list lately, if I don't want to move it to reading to check.

Reading List: A manga which I'm reading and it's ongoing / A manga I started to read and added to reading list in order not to forget to mark it as "Complete" once I finish it.
Complete List: A manga which is completed and I read it whole, includes oneshots
On Hold: Something I stopped reading because I had some more interesting manga to read or it wasn't updated for a long time or I decided to wait until there are more chapters.
Wish: that's more complicated. Whenever I think some manga may be interesting, I add it to my wish list (this one-click addition is pretty handy). Then I look through the list, check whether it really may be interesting - then add it to one of more specific wish lists (shoujo/shounen/seinen/one-shots). And these are always titles that are at least partially scanlated.

And I have many specific custom lists.
