Eh. It was an okay chapter. The guy at the end really started to remind me of Nazis. Probably the moustache.

I was thinking the same thing. We will have to see if Tite recycles the other Espada. I'm thinking "dirty boots" (can't remember her name) will look like Halibel or maybe Starrk to bring in that western look.
I'm thinking that the Riruka/Rukia fight will probably be more of a "what is your relationship with him?! Well, I like him more!" etc. And, I have been wondering who could stand up to Kenpachi since he showed up a few chapters ago...doesn't look like anyone can.

Hopefully the old guy doesn't use some power to come back and just dies because Kenpachi doing a 1-hit ko at the very beginning of the fight would be awesome Dx.

Yeah, Riruka looks unwilling to fight. Last chapter she said she didn't want Ichigo's powers and Ginjo gave them to her anyway, so she's probably feeling conflicted.
So is she fighting Rukia? (I guess it makes sense)
And Tsukishima and Byakuya. Makes sense too, both of them are refined characters...I think that's gonna make an interesting fight 🙂

You know I really don't like how Kubo takes the easy route with Kenpachi. We get it, Kenpachi loves to fight, he can stand toe to toe with other captains, espada etc with just a run down sword, no shikai, bankai, kido etc. But his recent opponents, Espada 5 (forgotten his name), Yammy and now this guy are all quite frankly just plain dumb. They have no apparent skill or intelligence other than to just blindly attack, and take forever to kill, a cheap method of prolonging a battle. I really wish Kenpachi got to fight Tsukishima instead. Remember when Kenpachi fought Tosen, and Tosen used his bankai blocking all of Kenpachi's senses? That was actually interesting because Kenpachi actually had to use his brain and outwit his opponent rather than just attacking with brute force.

Was an OK chapter... I was a bid disappointed that Ichigo did not really defeat them all by himself but the end of the chapter with Kempachi cutting that guy in 2 was good.. I hope he really is dead...

I just read the chapter again (honestly, probably the fifth time...can't help it), and I think that I noticed some things. I wanted to see if anyone else was wondering about them.
First, is it just me or did Ichigo not attack Riruka on the double page? It looks kind of like her outline in the background on the page. Plus, we only see three people hit the ground.
And second, what was with the exchange between Ikkaku and Hitsugaya? I don't remember Ikkaku showing respect towards any of the captains. There is no way that he would leave the 11th division, but it seemed a little weird. It wasn't his usual fear of embarrassment in front of Kenpachi.
