Take a look at this three links. It shows the total copies of volumes sold of the Top 10 manga in Japan for 2008, 2009 and first half of 2010. The data was taken from Oricon. CAN YOU BELIEVE THE NUMBERS?!!! 😲
Since last year, it's not even a competition anymore. Even Naruto and Bleach combined cannot even touch One Piece's current position. One Piece and Oda-sensei truly is the King of Manga!

There are definitely better quality manga, but from a financial standpoint you are correct, One Piece is levels above the others listed.
Still, 15 million+? Wow. I'm proud of you for once, Japan.

If this keeps up for another few years, there's no way Jump magazine will let Oda end One Piece even if he wanted to.

Hahaha, I've known for some time that One Piece is the best selling manga in history. Having surpassed the previous one about a year ago.
But that is incredible. Nobody even comes close to its sales! 🤣

They don't need to worry about that right now Oda said he wanted One Piece to reach 1k chapters so that's another 8-9 years at least.
But still that's impressive and it's increasing each years.

Its well deserved too. Over the past 6 months or so I have been absolutely stunned at how goddamn good One Piece has continued to be. I am literally enjoying the recent chapters as much as I have ever enjoyed this series.

I actually saw the sales data of last year some time ago and it really didn't surprise me at all since it is so well deserved and obvious that it is better than almost everything that I have laid my eyes upon.
And this is also proof that the manga is a hundred times better than the anime.
One Piece is meant to be read imo.

I was blown off my feet by how much i loved one piece. I thought it would be okaybut it is soo well writen! it is like sooo good. im not suprised its the best selling manga ever..it made me cry when marry sunk..it was sooo saddd......man i need more chapters. I have been reading manga since i was in the 2nd grade. I am running out of good mangas....

I'm glad someone else has stated that One Piece is on another level. I honestly feel that the series is seriously the epitome of new age shounen manga; it's the whole package. Great characters who aren't forgotten and well fleshed out, consistent pacing, phenomenal story telling, the list goes on. The sales and what people rave about the series are just a few things showing how amazing One Piece truly is.
