(seemingly) unrequited love results in breakdown

Hello guys (and girls), I'm looking for some help again.
This time I'm looking for some romance manga where there is some kind of shock situation for the MC because he/she sees his/her love interest with another guy/girl or a similar situation. He/she should recover from it (though it doesn't matter how long it takes) and shouldn't just give up on his/her interest, though it is not required for them to end up together (Tonari no Atashi).
It is preferred that she doesn't know this beforehand. Even better If one (the reader) doesn't know this either (Namida Usagi - Seifuku no Kataomoi). Another similar example would be Hiyokoi, where she misunderstands what he says and takes it for a confession to the other girl.
Another point would be that one needs to be able to empa-/sympathize with the characters, this doesn't mean that they shouldn't be cliched, but that the art and presentation of the characters are well enough and compatible. (I guess Hiyokoi readers would understand what I mean...)
Edit: The seemingly means that it doesn't have to be unrequited, but at that moment the MC thinks that way!
Required:* relatable or likable characters
- romance
- breakdown/shock triggered by another (possible) interest of the MC's love interest (see above section)
Pros:* slow romance
- character progression
- drama
- shoujo or seinen
Cons:* sports
- music
Excluded:* sexual content - this includes: hentai, smut, mindless ecchi poured into the story for no reason (plot-wise)
- shoujo-ai, shounen-ai, yaoi, yuri
- extreme violence/gore
- one-shots
Please don't link to categories.
thanks in advance!

It has been a while since I read it, but I believe Oishii Kankei fits.

None have a strong breakdown, but I think these fit to some degree:
Principal Surprisingly good. The summary doesn't do this one justice - and the second love interest is...unexpected
Sweet Black
Bitou Lollipop plot wise, definitely fits. But while I personally like the main girl, the characters overall are not always likable.
Lovely Everywhere I've been wanting to mention this one to you for a while - the girl is reminiscent of Hiyokoi, but the characters split from there. Very cute and funny (I thought). That shock moment happens, but might not be drama-like enough for what you wanted.

@Allez: hmmm I usally keep my distance from josei, I'll see if I get back to this later, thanks anyway
@holyphoenix: I've seen this one quite a lot recently, for now the Multiple protagonists and love triangle tags kept me from starting, but I guess I'll try it, thanks
@elliemoran: thanks, I didn't stumble over those yet, but art and summaries seem good enough to start reading. I'll look into Lovely Everywhere, can't let your intention to mention this go to waste 😉
again thanks, and I'm still looking for more to stack up and read through 🙂

It might have just been me, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. But I'm hoping it really is as good as I remember it being 🙂

There are some really great oneshots out there that don’t feel unfinished or rushed, (in general not for your request), what I meant was, this manga feels a bit too short for the story that was told. If I remember right, I liked the beginning but the end was rushed, for a one volume manga it would have been better to have another ending.
I searched a bit for another manga to recommend you for not being out of topic
Maybe you could try Kiss, Zekkou, Kiss There is not a big breakdown or shock, but the element is there. The manga is quite unique in the way the story is told from two perspectives. It is short as well but use its time better (in my opinion)

Spontanously, how about giving H or Senpai to Kanojo a try? The first one may have a rather old-school or edgy style of art, but the storyline is by times able to convey the feelings of the characters pretty well. As for the latter one: In a way it has just the right length for me, so that it won't be depressing, but is keeping the actions of the characters somewhat realistic. ^^"
"It's like love is a bonus in your life. Even without it, I'm just fine. I don't feel like pointlessly searching for it. You don't have to make yourself unhappy." (Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji)
"Why does it rain?" - "To create drama." (Drops (Andou Yuki))
