Description
From Dark Horse: World War III is over, and nomad soldier Duenan Knute and her cyborg partner Briareos struggle to survive in the abandoned cities and demilitarized zones of the post-war wasteland, the "Badside." Matters appear on the upswing, however, when they are found and brought to Olympus, an urban utopia and centerpiece for the reconstruction of civilization. Duenan and Bri join the Olympus police, a force that seems hardly necessary in such a paradise. But, like in most pretty pictures, perfection is an illusion, and Olympus's peaceful facade hides a dark secret, a violent struggle between human and cyborg that could once again plunge the world into war... and genocide.
well it wasnt really easy to follow, and the action was kinda hard to understand (of course im bad at reading action in alot of manga) but i think its a great manga. the only thing that kept me reading was the romance between brierios and duanen ^^ (or however you spell their names)
This was great, art wasn't the best at first, but by the third volume Shirow hit his stride. Yeah, it's a little hard to follow at times, but it's a great story nonetheless.
This 80's cyber punk manga is full of technicisms from technology, military & police worlds. You add to that some international conspiracy, mix in a little bit of existentialism and there you have: appleseed. I found it very hard to follow. Not worthy enough to read.
