*GREAT ART. I like the style. c: It's a twist on some common art-style, nice and PRETTY !
*FANTASTIC PLOT. Just...so...FUNNY. And actually, it does have it's meaningful, deep parts too c:
*GOOD CHARACTERS. They're nice. You can't help but like them. No matter how twisted things are xDD!!

IT"S JUST GOOD.

The art is good, if a bit cluttered at times. The story has too many characters right at the get go for my taste.
It was fun at the beginning, but got boring real quick. I read a LOT of manga for my work and if it doesn't compell me and connect with me continuously in volume one, I ain't stickin' around.

Not Homophobic
by unusuallove

Rating: 8.0  / 10.0
The main character is a lesbian, yes, and also is rather perverted, but I don't think the author is trying to make that connection between homosexuals and perversion at all. After all, she has that priest who is just as perverted as the main character, but still isn't really a bad guy (the perversion is more or less mild). I think it's just that she likes to give her characters very strong personalities (Mariya, for example, is a straight guy, but he's a lot worse than she is, so . . .).

And just for the record, I think your sympathies are supposed to be with the main character, not the evil cross-dressing guy who tries to rape her. He's supposed to be portrayed as sadistic, and you are supposed to feel sorry for her. Just because she's a lesbian, and he's really mean to her, doesn't mean that the mangaka is trying to say that it's okay to be mean to lesbians, or anyone for that matter. Mariya is supposed to be the villain.

I for one, really enjoyed the humor of it and the relationship between the two main characters. It's refreshing for the main character of a shoujo-esq manga (I know it says seinen) not to fall for the guy (at least, not yet) who abuses her. So often in these mangas, girls let guys get away with crap and they still love them anyway, but not this one.

I gave it an 8 because it could be deeper, but for a light laugh, it's a good read.

It's satire

Some people can't seem to fathom this series as what it is. They have to reason it somehow into saying the people who like this are homophobes, when in actuality they're raging from the satire in this series making fun of a genre they seemingly love.

The series itself can be quite funny at times. All in all, it's rather average. The one unique thing is it's rather unique parodying of the shoujo ai genre.

it's not great

Innocent perverted girl enrolled in an all girl nonreligious catholic school, to find her true gay love... And it would be a harem paradise if it wasn't for the pure hearted, cute and evil cross-dresser roommate and his loyal foulmouthed maid.
Well this manga is an "alright" comedy, And I did hate the first chapter. But this manga does point out a few cliches in the genre that are used so much it's becoming really irritating.

If you hate lesbians you'll love this series

This is the perfect series for all those guys who think that lesbians must be "cured" by a man. The fact that the lesbian main girl is always bullied and considered a sicko and a "villain", while the crossdressing guy who treats her like sh*t and threatens to rape her is considered the "hero" is just perfect for your homophobia.

Series has been poo-pooed too much by others

I almost did not read this series due to so many harsh reviews of it, but I can think for myself. When I picked it up, it did not upset me like it did others and I found it pretty funny by the end of volume one. There's a lot of insight into the lives of schoolgirls, some with feelings of love for each other. Granted, lesbianism is not treated with too much respect, but it is easy to overlook if you're not sensitive to it. On the plus side, it doesn't use fanservice as a mechanism for selling more books (there's virtually none). It's success rides on its accomplished art and insightful and comedic story.

maliciously abusive with occasional delight

I just picked up issue one on the strength of the pretty-girl artwork.
I now sincerely hope the cross-dressing lead is going to eventually be put through a wood chipper while still conscious. He is the stock "my family is immensely wealthy so I can treat everyone else like absolute crap" antagonist without a trace of charm or humor - just despicable, skin-crawling evil. The male-phobic female lead Kanako is a passive girl-oggling dolt who appears to be putting up with his abuse solely because he is cute in drag. By the end of the first issue there is no hint of anyone learning anything from their situations. I will look at the next chapters online in the vain hope that Mariya's maid Matsurika will snap and take his manhood off with a chainsaw.
Still, much like Kanako, I will probably put up with this excruciating abuse for the occasional page of beautiful cute-girl art and yuri-light situations.

I read up to ch 11 - I think I want to try the anime now.

As someone said, the art is decent (actually it's more than just decent)... but the main character is indecent ;D I like it. It is very funny and actually the 2nd shoujo-ai I come across.

I don't know what it will turn into, but don't expect much romance. A nosebleed is all you get to see from Kanako. Also don't expect much development. What you can expect is hilarious and wacky comedy, some moe characters and a light story.

Most entertaining for me are the slight pervert dialogs, the SD art and the interactions of the comic trio Mariya, Kanako and Matsurika.
Want an example?

Mariya: "You're a lesbian, aren't you?"
Kanako: "Nooooo! Don't call me that! At least say "Yuri", it's more elegant"

Matsurika: "Crossdressing is enough, but couple that with an interest for cosplay? This seems like a case of gender identity disorder!"

@Artimidorus
You complain about ppl giving a 10 as in 'completely perfect' but yourself give it a 1 as in 'everything is worst' when you even said it has good art - wtf oO? Look who's talking.
See it as an entertainment rating and not something as complicated as perfectness. wink

Horrible
by Artimidorus

Rating: 1.0  / 10.0
Wow... so many people giving this series 10, saying that it is COMPLETELY perfect and cannot be improved at all... my head hurts from considering what this means for the future of man kind.
I also see that it appears most are giving it a 10 based on the first episode of the anime... which is just very wrong.

The art is decent, but the main female is a horrible pervert, and the main guy is just.... beyond a screwed up jerk. The pretense of why there is a guy there is just absurd, and his servant is just useless. Their interaction is almost painful to read. So while the art isn't bad at all, the story and the character interaction removes almost all value from this manga. Whether the anime is better or not has NOTHING what so ever to do with these reviews, and the people reviewing saying "The anime was great... and I think I heard of the manga... 10!!" need to be removed. They should post those reviews on anime sites, not on the manga site. This manga does not deserve a 10 in any way, shape, or form.

To: Lillian - Yes, I gave it a one, because almost all the 10s are from people saying how great the anime is.. and oh yeah, there is a manga.. it must be good. Average: 8.4 / 10.0 (123 votes) right now, because so many people aren't grading the manga, which is stupid. As I said in the PM, I am sick of seeing awesome ratings for a series, and finding out that people aren't basing it on the manga, but the anime. So yes, I gave it a one, because there needs to be some sembalance of reality in these scores.
