From Viz: Demons like Rara are supposed to cause mischief in the mortal world and draw humans to darkness. They're not supposed to help mortals and they're definitely not supposed to fall in love with them! But that's just what happens when Rara enters high school, where a hot guy named Retsu Aku calls her "Gaba Kawa"!
i read the comments thinking that this would be a decent read at least and i liked Takada's H3 school. But this story was completely idiotic. Rushed, not well developed, a little confusing at times, and more than a little stupid. all i could ask myself by the end was how in the world could anyone think this this story was good. Well to each his own i guess.
To me... I find this story rather adorable and funny and I actaully was quite ok with it. Love Artwork, and the storyline is fine. Now to what many others said about the aku's feelings. I'm actually thought it was real. Cause since this story is a oneshot there's much time to have his feelings actually real since he actually considered her as a friend. This series is not meant to be taken seriously so i'd rather enjoy it. but then again we don't know how long Rara was hanging out with him but it could of been awhile. now the ending... could have been better but it was ok. I would recommend it.
My insides are laughing because i'm confuse. it's like i have been influenced by some demon stuffs.
One thing for sure is that I commented to say I really haven't felt the guy is really into the girl. There lots of manga that fail to make the readers believe that that 'someone' is really in love. And that is what I see in the guy. Out of the blue, he confessed and I didn't know when he started falling in love. Maybe it's because the manga is focused to the emotions of the girl. maybe..
but the ending is ---no comment?
i can't dare rate it. because i hate the stupid but cool guy-suddenly becoming desperate-----tch!!
still i owe it to the mangaka that i enjoyed my time. all those demon stuffs--I LIKE IT! only the protagonist guy spoiled it.
This was the first Takada Rie manga I'd read and one of the first of oneshots I'd read. I rather enjoyed it and thought that the characters were drawn rather good looking.
Retsu was very handsome, and despite all her male characters looking the same in all the manga, somehow, Retsu stands out.
It's got a pretty good plot going for it, agreeable romance, and lots of funny scenes. I would agree that if you like Takada-sensei, you'll enjoy this one. At least I did.
hmm.. i think this manga is not really great.. but it's worth reading... the probem is, it gets kinda boring and i didn't like the ENDING!! it feels like it's not even finished..
It was decent... but... Retsu loving her back came out of nowhere. -_-; One chapter he's all "blah" to her, next its "o I found out you have powers, I think I love you now".
The ending was really stupid too. -_-; Like, it made an attempt to be unique / a bit open-ended, but it failed and ended up looking retarded.
Despite that stuff, I still liked it. The art was good, and the beginning was alright.
It was good...but it could have been better. I mean...the whole thing with Retsu was *urg*...stupid. "Oh, i think i love you now"...give me a break. And the ending with Rara was HORRIBLE!!!!!! but the story was good.
The ending felt kind of contrived to me, but the art was pretty nice, and it was, I guess, a rather cute, light story.. It was somewhat of an interesting read, but it didn't really click with me, and I thought that the development of the romance between the main couple was cliche and stereotypical. Sometimes there was a bit of humor, which combined with the hyper main character made the manga bearable, but the last scene came out of nowhere and wasn't explained enough by the manga-ka. The magical part could have been handled better, though I commend the manga-ka for having them without making them totally ridiculous. As a shoujo, it was okay, but not that great. If you're a fan of the manga-ka you'll probably like this, I guess.
this was a good manga its really funny...i recommend it. The ending was kinda....well...i didnt think that it would end that way but it was still good...and funny xD
