There is nothing extraordinary about Lapis Lazuli no Oukan, but the characters are strong and likeable and the relationships between them are fleshed out nicely, the art is reasonably nice and the world building is done extremely well. It's surprising and worth kudos that everything in Mieru and Radi's world, from the hierarchy to their system of magic is so well-developed in such a short series. A very enjoyable read.
The mangaka did a very good job creating a clear world of magic. Also, the characters were well thought out, making them realistic; I loved each one of them. Plotwise, there was a clear cut, sincere goal and the main character achieved it beautifully. Although some may believe that it's a common story, I like the message that the mangaka brings across and believe that message is important to understand.
The only thing I wish was different was the length. In the second volume especially, it was stated that each chapter happened x months after the last one. Although I'm glad that the mangaka kept only stories that moved the story forward, I wish there was more material to learn about the characters in more depth. However, I don't think that the short length completely retracted from the manga's quality.
Overall, I really enjoyed it! Sweet and to the point, it's a good read if you want something sincere and quick to read.
it's a solid story. and it made me laugh. the characters were down to earth and i liked all of them- including the side characters. the plot gets a little muddled as things pick up, but that clears pretty fast. enjoyable and sweet. a fun read.
loved it! but will love it more if it was a bit longer! the last 2 or 3 chapters were a bit short in my opinion, it could have been extend into 5-6 chapters, in my opinion that is! anyways thumbs-up for this one! art and story are awesome!
Ah, I actuallly liked this manga, but in my opinion it should be longer, so that both the story and the characters could be better developed. It really resembles Akagami no Shirayukihime.
