i dont get it by PoshSam on December 3rd, 2009, 9:35pm

whats up with the movie koizora that made everyone fall in love with it? i watched half of the movie and throughout i keep thinking that the main guy is a dick. he tells the main girl what to do and is all edward cullen when it comes to her, like manipulating her emotions and making all the decisions, the only thing i liked was the part where he went to the temple to pray for their endangered unborn child, that was pretty freakin sweet other than that, he's well annoying.

Although this manga is just so damn frustrating to read, props to the mangaka. Koizora is a bit on the heavy side and I admit that I kind of like the movie over this one, probably because it is short for one and right-o the characters are a bit different precisely because this is just another one of the adaptations. There might be some differences compared to the original story but the crucial part of the story is still there. So, if you're fan of heavy drama mangas, this one's for you.

While I haven't read the cellphone novel (because I can't find it in English), I've seen the movie (I attempted to watch the drama, but couldn't get past the second episode). I absolutely love the movie, so I decided to read the manga. Many of the other reviewers have noted a lot of differences between the various adaptations, and I agree that there are many differences, but I don't think they're necessarily bad (although, the coherence of the drama--what I saw of it--could have been better). Mika's characterization is different in the manga, as is Hiro's, in comparison with the movie. I don't think I really have a preference, but the movie is more compelling in general. Still, the manga is worth a read (but watch the movie first, then the drama--if you can sit through it--before reading the manga).

Disappointed... by Nakano on August 26th, 2009, 3:36am

This manga completely butchered the drama and movie. What in heaven's name did they do to Mika's character? She's nothing like she is in the drama or movie. I don't feel the character's emotions like I did in the movie and the plot is simply nonsense. Honestly, I would suggest to anyone who wants to read this manga, watch the movie or drama instead. It's so much better

I wasn't expecting anything from this. I never read reviews, too many expectations then. It has a good pace, good unexpected but not unbelievable twists, and hey, what shoujo main character isn't incredible stupid (I just expect that now). This is the first manga I would give a rating of 11 if possible. This of course is subject to change depending on how it ends.

Can't really agree with most of the comments here. Sure, I've seen the drama and I loved it. Now afterward, reading the manga, at least I understand WHY Hiro's being such an ass, so I can't hate him for it. He's got his own reasons and the only thing I'm looking forward to in this manga is how mika will find out about them and how she'll react. That's the only reason I even continue reading this. But apart from that, I think it's not too bad like most of you say, but I do admit it's a bit unrealistic.

WTF??? by purfect_kutie64 on May 28th, 2009, 4:55pm

The manga totally destroyed the image of the flawless Koizora drama that I saw. Ironically, I read the manga first. BLAH. Anyway, for all those who are thinking about reading the manga, I strongly suggest you watch the drama instead. Although they are usually lamer than mangas, it will definately leave you stunned and prove you wrong (not to mention make you cry 10 gallons of tears). =]

what the hell... by aoi_tenshi on April 16th, 2009, 12:59am

this was complete and utter crap, i dont like how the mangaka has portrayed mika in this series, shes completely different from the actual drama/movie, and she doesnt seem to stand out infront of other girls. i dont see how hiro(who is also a jerk in this manga) would like her. i think the author could have stuck a bit more to the plot in the way mika is and how she met hiro, mika shouldn't be childish, or short, even by changing mikas character, this manga doesn't have the same feeling as to when i watched the actual movie and drama. and i dont like how the mangaka has made nozomu like mika causing her to break up with aya, there's too much drama for a manga to handle so for now im giving this manga a 3, only because its based on a novel, drama and movie which were all so good.

Honestly i am LOVING this manga soo much. The romance is progressing pretty fast, the characters have been developed well and all the drama has had me at the edge of my seat. I have no idea how its gonna end and this is probably why i love it so. The arts is really good too which helps ^^. I need more of this genera in my life (i'm probably alone in my thinking).

This manga shouldn't have made... trying to adopt the novel... not even half of it is great... I watch the drama and the movie... it was amazingly done but the manga is such a dissapoint ever!!! the main girl is to naive.. super duper... I hate her and the guy is the worst ever... if you feel dissapoint with this manga watch the movie/drama you'll like it... if you read this you'll regret it!!
