Description
From Storm in Heaven:

Beat has always dreamed of being the Golden Hero of Totia. He made a pact with his best friend Ricercare (Rice for short) to join forces to annihilate the demon king in order to achieve this aim. Yet a twist of fate causes him to abandon his goals and fight alongside Rice to protect the demons. Just how will they fare against the entire nation of Totia? And can Beat protect Rice from the hero of Totia before it's too late? Cute and heart-warming, this amusing five-volume series also includes interesting side stories rich with magic and beautiful art.

didn't read for a long time by milo001 on May 15th, 2008, 9:57am

didn't read this manga for a long time.the story is kinda good.basically i just like the art.i don't think this manga is bl.maybe it's just slash.just looks at the mangaka works.there's only one oneshot is shounen ai.other than that it's all shoujo.but somehow i think she likes shounen ai too.

Rice is too beautiful to be a guy, maybe they'll insert a plot twist that "she"s actually a girl ... *crosses fingers* or something... and plus, if you've ever taken notice how Rice always dresses in ambiguous clothing (long robes/dresses)... Anyways, an easy manga to read and, in some way, introduces an element of serenity.

BL is actually the minority at SiH (and this isn't BL) =P This manga does have some BL jokes, though, since Rice looks like a girl (even to the extreme of someone thinking him a girl, and wanting him as a bride).

Gin no Yuusha is mostly one-shots in the beginning, since I don't think the mangaka had guaranteed serialization. The plot is supposed to develop in v3. It's pretty warm and fuzzy (and funny), and a tad preachy, but if you go for cute characters in a swords and sorcery setting, this is for you.

Hm... might be hints of shounen ai imo which sorta suprised me. The guy on the cover with blue hair is a guy contrary to what I thought in the begining
