When I read Rules I was rooting for Hikaru and Tooru as a pairing. Somehow I never really liked Yuki or Atori that much and after Lovers and Souls, my favorite choice for Tooru would've been Hikaru. I was looking forward to Vanity and it is does provide an interesting background. I always wonder how Hikaru would've reacted if Tooru had actually told him about Satoshi and what really happened...
Oh, and one more thing. For some reason, I always think Miyamoto's art in the manga itself is more beautiful than the covers... same here. o,o

The couple who should've been.
This is a gorgeous side story, beautifully told, lots of emotion leaping out of the pages right at you. Miyamoto sensei is just as good an author as she is an artist. This is highly recommended. Even for the smex scenes alone!
