Description
Maeda Hachibei is unlike most guys, who lust after gorgeous girls. This pervert lusts after their discrete parts, instead. When he moves to Tokyo to attend school, he finds himself living in a dormitory with five girls, each of which possesses one of the ideal physical features he desires: gorgeous blue eyes, bullet-train breasts, a deep dulcet voice, straight “anime-esque” legs, or a waistline shaped like fine Japanese pottery. How can he manage to keep his wits when surrounded by these women? If you think this sounds like a Love Hina clone, you wouldn’t be entirely incorrect… but Hachibei isn’t Keitaro.

Spoiler (highlight to view) very good ending i have to say, he returned to his properself and also it give u the feelign that the story never ends. the ending kinda remind the ending of another manga series that which i dont remember.
Anways, very good manga, i recomend to anybody to read, its worth it |

| Well i can agree with most who say after a while to jokes got alittle too repetive. Finally however the end is very near. We are finally seeing some strong character development out of Hachibei. He is coming to terms with the fact that the girls of the dorm are more important to him then their parts. That the part of a person is not what defines them but, who they are as a whole. Already the girls are starting to pull away from Hachibei and move on with their own personal lives. Currently the manga is at its finest and i look foward to see how it ends. |

This manga is worth reading for those interested in the genre. It does get quite repetitive at parts but, things start changing once again later on in this series. It's also compared to Love Hina by some people, though there are similarities its almost completely different. I actually hesitated on reading this series because of the cover art, but once I started reading it I couldn’t stop. I read all the chapters that have already been scanalated in maybe less than 2 days? I will honestly recommend this series to most anyone who has time to pass. I am really looking forward to reading the last few volumes once they are available

In my opinion this manga has gone on too long at the beginning it was really good and lots of fun to read but now its just got boring and repitative same old same should of ended this sooner before this.

I liked this manga at first, but, like most comedies out there, it became repetitive. While Hachibei's personality and the story's focus on parts fetishes are unique and funny, they can't keep me entertained for more than 30 chapters.
After 60 chapters, the jokes are just repeating with no end in sight and the relationships have barely changed. Maybe the story will pick up later, but I've lost interest.
You should read this manga if you enjoy comedies with fairly static relationships like Love Hina and School Rumble, but not if you hate repetitive stories and jokes.

Well... What is there to say about Ai Kora but,
"This isn't what i expected"
When i jumped into this manga i thought that i would be reading a comedy/harem/romance, by the 40th chapter i had a whole new thought on my mind. Comedy/harem/ComedyGag/Gag/Gag/Gag Etc.
I thought this was going to be a more serious manga such as a Suzuka or Ichigo 100%. But this manga is TOO into the comedy.
The main male character gets caught looking at some of the girls in very "Ecchi" situations, and what do they do, they say "He's just a boy", and forgive him when all he's thinking are perverted thoughts... I always liked the thought of Karma or Divine Retribution, and this guy is long over due although in the series the mangaka keeps insisting that he has a reason for acting that way, BS. I loved the Female lead, the other three females can be safely ignored, the male is horrible and is always caught in something stupid, for example, THIS ISN"T A SPOILER, in one chapter him and his perverted friend are looking at a pair of "Magical" pantyhose that magically make girls' legs even sexier... UGGGGHHHH!!!!
I didn't make it past chapter 41, i loved the ride till then, but it's like an obese person that finally sees himself in the mirror and decides to quit eating, i give Ai Kora an 8 for first 40 chapters, and 6 for what i assume is more hell on the remaining chapters.

I actually gave this an 8, I look back on this, and I look back on this series and it Fills me with hate. I liked it allot when it started, but then it becomes a Nonchalantly perverted Series. I could feel the rage i felt when he was allowed to be Perverted because he's a "Child"... Wait scratch that, he's a (I forgot his age 16? 17?) teenager that ACTS like a child, uggh, Enough of my ranting, This deserves a heavy 5 but i enjoyed the Female Characters, They are nice especially the Naru-ish Lead (Love hina!) anyway, I'll give it a 6. I hate this!

Really i've been waiting for a long time now for some group to come along and finish this series as its complete now. I mean its popular enough. Why doesn't someone other than Musashi do it since they are so damned slow. I admit they do it for free and can't be bothered if they don't feel like it but they're tooooo slow.
As for this series i love it.

If you read romance, comedy, echii etc manga, than i know you'll love this. Though this manga concentrates moreon comedy which it does magnificently. Okay the plot may not be this manga's strongest point, the overall manga is a fun and awesome read. I haven't completed this manga but it's more of those fun manga's though it does have a good story. I always laugh in the chapters and the characters are great fun. The male lead is great. He can be your typical, pushover loser, but mess with his fetishes you will meet your end!! He is just a cool guy that never disappoints you. The girl characters are very interesting all obviously having the own special "charm" about them.
For those who compare this to Love Hina, the only reason why i think people compare it is because of the description on this site. I mean at no time did i think of love Hina. The art may be similar and the setting, but there are so many harem manga's in a girls dorm. The male lead is completely different. He actually has a backbone and is strong (though only at specific times). Plus he doesn't get fazed by any girl, if a girl took of her shirt off in front of him but didn't have his bullet train boobs, he wouldn't go crazy or have a nosebleed. He really is only a pervert to his fetishes ( and a big one). But hes not the gross perverted, hes more the worshipping or " omg i love it" funny type of pervert. Its funny how he tries to make them happy while making himself too. So yea there are similarities still but what manga doesn't have similarities. Love Hina is a fantastic manga on it's own and Ai Kora is a awesome manga on it's own.
All in all, dont get the idea that this is a bad manga. This manga is not for those searching for a true romance manga. Though in it's own right this manga is a marvel. Really funny, with some great references and hilarious scenes, great fun characters and still has a good romance, plus more, this manga is great and very enjoyable to read. Read this manga, it's one of those you can always come back to and enjoy again and again.
P.S I really want an anime version so i can hear the prized voice ^_^

The first mangas I read were once that had really good art such as Deathnote, UxU, 07-Ghost... So I hesitated to read this manga at first, having seen the cover art. When I ran out of chapters in UxU(Unbalance x Unbalance, another must read for Harem fans!) I started looking for more Ecchi manga.
I finally came across this one and I don't regret it one bit! Extremely funny! Although unrealistic a lot of times as pointed out by some users(Ankles-less legs and stuff... XD ).
Often being compared to Love Hina for a good reason. Here are some of which I found:
- Hachibei gets beaten up by the girls often, but not as often as Keitaro
- Hachibei possibly has the same stamina as Keitaro
- presence of a hardcore drinker girl in the apartment
- The humor is just brilliant! Not the typical "accidentally trips on a girl" humor you'll see in most ecchi series. Expected the unexpected every chapter!
Differences:
- Hachibei has some sudden gusts of strength when the girls get harassed.
- The fetish...
- All girls are relatively normal (No weirdos like Kaora Su or Mutsumi ).
- So far, there are more dramatic moments in Love Hina or at least, the dramatic moments in Love hina were more memorable.
Another brilliant manga from Inoue. Better character development than Midori no Hibi and humor is just as good; possibly better! This is easily one of my favorite mangas but I wouldn't recommend it to non-harem fans. ^^,
I can't wait for the last chapter! And I really expect the last volume to be great, having finished Midori no Hibi...
