Uni was definitely someone I really enjoyed reading about initially cause she was somewhat tsundere but now she's become a crybaby and it's begining to bother me. I hope she stops that and grows a frontal lobe already. As for the rest of the story, I'll just keep reading and hope for the best.

OTT on the weird situations

I wish the author had realised that she could have made this a comedy without going OTT on the situations
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
such as getting engaged by the end of the first volume
which was completely unrealistic and kind of ruined it for me. I wish this had progressed more like the first two chapters and had focused on subtely including humor, rather than the author having to think up wierd scenarios that would create humorous situations. That said, I think if you read this manga expecting it to be a comedy rather than a more serious look at a student-teacher relationship its fine. Aside from that, Uni's personality is refreshing, and although she does cry quite a bit, it's not irritating. Although I think the "child prodigy" has not been thought through completely; surely she would have skipped grades?

The 1st two chapters were ok, I wasnt loving it, but it was ok.

Then Uni's quirky personality and his love of satisfying her tsundere side gets really cute. The story is unrealistic in some ways (like fujiko-sensei's secret and her family who are a little bit like the Addams family), but in others I think their relationaship is more like a real relationship than most of the other student-teacher stories out there.

Its starting to take a little more serious turn with chapter 7, but this manga is actually really good. The person writing about him being just a sexual harasser should have kept reading. If you like Akuma to Love Song, Five, Tenshi Ja Nai, or Girl in Heels, then these characters have some of the same air. And the main girl, Uni, has great confidence- not a weak heroine at all.

FYI: uni = sea urchin (very spikey outside)

Now I get that this is a comedy manga. But at the same time it's dealing with the student-teacher relationship quite seriously. So when it defies all logic, it ruins it somewhat. I mean:

Spoiler (highlight to view)
They get engaged by the end of the first volume. What? Did I miss something? Up to that point, all they'd done is kissed a couple of times. Particularly on the teacher's part there is not much development regarding their feelings - engagement came out of nowhere, it was really absurd. There are other things that bug me about this manga (which I suppose I can overlook because it's supposed to be a comedy and pretty goofy) but I really thought that was ridiculous.

Besides that, I find Uni's ultra-exaggerated tsundere personality and weirdness quite annoying, and the plot irritates me because it's so unbelievably unoriginal. The art, I would say, is average. Somehow I really want to like this manga, but I'm finding it quite hard. There are so many better student-teacher shoujos out there, and so many better comedies as well. So I'm a bit disappointed. How on earth this has managed to keep enough people reading to warrant 9+ volumes (not to mention how the mangaka's managed to extend the premise that long) is beyond me.

LOVE THIS!

The art is gorgeous, the teacher is hot, and the leading female is adorable. I think they fell for each other a bit too quickly, and the teacher does seem unqualified (hitting on his students tsk tsk) but that's what makes this wonderful, eh? If it were realistic, the hot teacher would be thrown in jail, and things wouldn't be so pretty.

Things seem to be picking up after Volume 4 or so. By that I mean more drama, drama, drama. It looks like this may end soon though, as I do not see how a teacher-student story could drag on for any longer than 10 volumes.

if you're not a fan of the genre, forget it. but i think it's up there with faster than a kiss or beast master. i admit, an intelligent lead will get me every time, but honestly- how common is that in shoujo?

it may be a shoujo but its a shoujo Done right.
I dunno what the people below me problem is but damn. The series is adorable, uni is cute, the teacher guy is cliche but..somehow....it works. I love the subtly in it also. The fact that Uni writes her name on everything she owns seemed irrevelant and then how the mangaka made it a part of the story when Uni wrote her name on his forehead as a way to say "Your mine!"
Im a sucker for stories that i cant predict. smile that and all the crazy Uni and her family reminds me of Kare kano.Mixed with the manga "Say i Love you".
It gives off a nice feeling smile

Can you say child molester? I sure can. If you like the student/teacher relationship, like I do, give this one a miss. It felt too much like creepy sexual harassment than attraction.

The art was nice and the prodigy was interesting but in general the manga was stupid. Nothing new at all. It's really not worth it.

Personally, I found it very cute.
I mean, it's quite rare that the shoujo heroine is a tsundere and a child prodigy at the same time. xD
I also like how she's kinda socially awkward, but tries her best to everything in the right orderly way.

I think the dialogue and story is just fine too, with even some wacky scenarios thrown in sometimes for good fun.

Overall, pretty good read if you like relationships between a cold genius tsundere and her teacher. wink

Meh...
I should stop picking shoujo just because the art cover looks nice...
The art inside is nice, but nothing too interesting.
I can say the shoujo is cute and pretty, but the teacher isn't nearly as "beautiful" as they all refer him to be...
~
The dialogue is stupid, and poorly constructed.
Everything in unoriginal, cliched and idiotic.
As another commenter has said, it would have better been a oneshot.
What can you drag about this for 4 whole volumes, and still be ongoing?
Sheesh... Some people don't know where to stop...

So, back to the manga...
It made me want to tear hairs out of my head.
And today was a good hair day!
Gah.
It made me so mad... I mean, I'm all for teacher/student relationships (though I have found very few titles that I enjoyed), but this is just...
gah...
It's exactly the reason why I stay away from shoujo, unless it's from certain mangaka-s...

Do yourself a favour, and don't try this...
This manga is pointless.
Pointless!

I'm giving it a 1.7 for the occasionally cute art.
