Description

Lena Ha is a beautiful and a tough girl who is the captain of the kendo team. She meets Hye-Min Kang, the son of the president of a big company in Korea, and the two seem to fall in love at first sight.

But when Lena learns that she and Hye-Min are half-siblings, she runs away and falls into a strange body of water. When Lena wakes up, she finds herself in a strange kingdom...and learns that she may be its only hope. Now Lena, disguised as Ley, is ready for many adventures. (From NOIR)

I enjoyed the story and really liked the main character, hovewer Lucien was totally boring and I didn't think they had any chemistry at all. I just really don't like the whole "fated lovers" kind of plot.

She should have ended with Michael, he was a much more interesting and compelling character than Lucien.

The story ended with so much rush but I can forgive it bc she is the best female lead in any manga-manhwa I ever read, she is the best and I ship her with everyone, male/female, all of them lol but I seriously liked her with Michael the best lol

This manhwa is kind of dramatic adventure, with subtle romance. Boring at the beginning but thrilling after Ley met Sean. FL aka Ley/Lena didn't really meet ML until the half of the story and the romantic feeling between those two never completely developed. It was annoying to call this "romance".

Moreover, many secrets were still kept unknown 'til the end, as if the author forgot to explain the possible brotherhood between Lucien and Ian, the past of Sharis and Brenna, the history of Jagar and Leon tribes, etc. Did the Count's cousin, Dmitri, truly escape? Who were exactly the rumored five knights? Oh! the plot laid too many unsolved mysteries! And it ended just like that!! Huh?? Despite the beautiful art, it was rather disappointing with such open-ended conclusion.

I picked this up and I really want to like it but I'm just not into it. The FL seems really cool and the only reason why I read as far as I did was because of her. But there are multiple barriers that I don't think are worth hurdling to continue.

The art is fine, not my style but the scanlation just makes it unbearable. The way the text is displayed so jumbled together and incoherent it just hinders the storytelling. Not only that the versions I found didn't have individual pages but showed both pages at the same time. It was fine at first but after a while it became annoying.

The characters are pretty one dimensional from what I've read. The FL is angsty, the prophet is aloof, the girl is depressed, the prince is useless, etc. I swear these characters stick to their one personality trait like glue because every other panel of them making the same face. (FL frowning, girl crying/sad, the prince looking annoying) From the endless list of characters introduced I only liked maybe 3.

The story itself is promising but the **storytelling is awful **and that just sinks the entire ship. In the first handful of chapters, a mountain of new characters are introduced, a majority of which I don't remember the names of, and each come with their own separate mini subplots that (for now) don't have a solid connection to what Lena is doing. I get that you have to establish that link somehow but it's only been like 5 chapters, hold your horses, ** I just want to read more about Lena experiencing this new world, not about some angsty king wannabe or a little girl with a chronic case of the sad. **Like literally an average of every 4-10 pages the scene would switch somewhere else with different characters entirely, it's so bad at times it's unbelievable. The chapter I stopped on I counted 3 different scene changes in 18 pages. That's an average of 6 pages to recount the entire backstory of who knows at this point.

I'm sure the story would get better once these countless layers of backstory have been established but I'm not willing to half-heartedly read/skim through it to get to 'the good part'. I saw lily_kitty15 say they thought ** it was boring until VOLUME 10. ** There are TOO many better manga/manhwa out there to read through 10 volumes of essentially the manga version of the adults from Peanuts. So read at your own risk, know that things aren't going to get good until way down the line.

Cool female protagonist.

Romance is not really emphasized, and the story follows this girl's journey. I love the idea and I love how the focus was on the girl's heroism. BUT it could've been developed better.

Strong female lead

I was in the mood for a manga with strong female lead as well as some fantasy element and I feel like it was a read that delivered in what I was looking for! Only thing was I feel there was a little lack of emotional impact on me. If you're looking for something similar, I strongly recommend Basara.

Worth the Read

There are so many types of stories that have a person from our world traveling to another that they begin to blur together. This is not one of them.

Lena (who goes by Ley to hide her gender) is a total bada$$. She is blunt and will tell you the truth, even if it hurts. I find her character to be refreshing. I think that Lee did a beautiful job in presenting us a character that would accurately show us how anyone would have acted.

Lena is suppose to be "The Chosen One", "The Saver", etc. Yet when she first gets to that world, all she could think about was what she wanted: revenge against the stepmother who kill her mother and friends. She doesnt believe in fate and she doesnt care if she was the foretold one. She only cares about herself...and isnt that what we humans do best? its in our nature to be selfish.

Yet as time goes on, people are drawn to her as she is drawn into their conflicts. Before she realizes it, she begins to care. She begins to want to save this pitiful land from the Mad Queen.

Most people would find this story to be boring but i see this as a realistic representation of what would happen to one of us if we were transported back to another world. I have a love and hate relationship with the ending. I love how the artist made Lena show fear as she watched her friends be slaughtered in front of her. It made her seem more human, more relatable. What i didnt like was the that luke-warm, half-a$$ed ending. There should have been one final chapter, an epilogue, to show what happened at the end.

It would have been nice to see if she did return to see her true parents, if she did become Queen of Kabul, if she did end up marrying Lucien, what happened to Brenna and the baby

Overall I enjoyed it and will be looking for similar mangas to read

One of the Best Female Leads!

This will be a rant, full of love, don't mind this.

D'AWWWWW LENA IS ONE OF MY MOST SPECTACULAR FEMALE LEADS EVER!! It's such a gem to find her in this manga(manhwa- whatever) world where stereotype characters and cliched plot takes place! I'm so damn tired of reading the same thing over and over again, and this one is such a breath in of fresh air! Saver reminds me so much of Basara, which is also good 😀
I love the characters here! They're so funny, emotional, and has a change of heart, this story has driven all of my undying emotions hidden inside of me, I love Michael, Lucien, Shine, Cid, Sean, Sheris and many other characters involved in the story, they practically had a role in this, not just plotholes nor fillers to stretch the story for useless backstories and flashbacks, and the twists! Oh God I love them!

Although I would say the ending is a bit of a disappointment, I was expecting for a grand (swords)fight between the btchy queen and Ley but it's okay, as long as she rots in hell :D the last chapter was also rushed, Ley shows less emotions here and full of monologues inside her head, she could atleast smile a bit more because she finally came back to Lucien right? She was like 'hell yeah I'm back bitches' and so on so forth.

DESPITE THAT! I still love this masterpiece! I don't regret wasting my 36 hours for reading this instead of studying for my finals(lol I became a slowpoke while reading Saver) although I wish for the manhwa-ka to add at least one bonus chapter or something just to show Lena and Lucien's progression and the other characters progression after the last war,

and even better, a cute wedding and a child to bear! I want to see Lucien and Lena's child in the future! Maybe an energetic boy or a split image of Lena who also loves to do Kendo!

Awww I'll miss Saver, one of the best manhwas ever!

The scanlations for the first few chapters are not the best, but they get better. Also, the first three chapters are just the background for the main character, past that the story is completely different. This is one of my favorite Shoujo and has a similar feel as Basara.

Not my favorite. The build up was so slow..same with the romance. You never actually connect with the characters. They literally float by you. Sorry but this one was quite boring :/
