Even though beginning was quite trival and the plot went well till that strange ending of part 1. After starting part 2 my first thought was "ohhh man i'm gonna get addicted again xD" (at least till updates stopped :/).

i really love this manga, the art is really great and the story is pretty decent, my main problem with this series at first was the main lead cause like the author (LIM Dall-Young) loves to make wimpy, weak or useless male characters and at first i thought this was the same but later i was gladly proven wrong and i am really happy about that (although he still has some personality issues to fix any way i really like this and in my opinion this is LIM Dall-Young's last great series going on right now, a lot of his others have finally ended (some in a pretty crappy way to me) and a lot of his new ones are not that exciting to me; freezing is ok but i got a lot of problems with it, so as my last great series with this author i hope this lasts a while and ends well

the whole manga is very nice, nice and simple plot at the first part(1~9 or 10 i think)
the second part is a complete turnover

First y they stopped updating the manga?
And secondly where can i read the novel translated?

A Shift from Shounen to Seinen

People down here just don't understand. If you hate the development that much, then try reading Im Dal-Young other works, so you find out that Maian is the MOST BRIGHTEST and MOST SANE of his works (I can't stand the others: I stopped reading most of them in chapter 3-5. Unbalance and Koimoku are the 'survivors'.).

Well, even if the shifting from shounen-ish and cliché battle-fantasy story of part 1 to the more darker and a 'little' twisted personality from part 2, I think it's just unacceptable because Maian is where Dal-Young put more moderation in the story while it still has Dal-Young's unique story development.

It may seem that a majority of the readers are currently pissed at the series based on the comments, but while part 1 was great, though cliched. part 2 is new and makes a majority of people get angry, I like the series and part 2 gives the characters definition. In the way that normally if a major event happens the way characters act change and not necessarily in a good way. So yeah over all pretty darn good read, and still pretty good.

Although with a lot of great mage, felicia group very easy lose to diha sion. it's not make a sense.
it's not the stroy i dont like, but how the author execute the end of part 1 is so funny. it's more better if author make battle more long, not just end like that.
i stop reading. because i assume the end would be something like that. and a lot people comment have some argue too

This is a cliche story with extremely cliche characters. You have a sniveling (literally, theres a scene when he cries simply after being told of the situation), whiny male main character teamed up with a sadistic, superpowered female main character. While that in and of itself isn't necessarily bad, this is pretty much the same formula IM Dal-Young uses for most of his works.

It still delivers on what IM Dal-Young always has in his story, big breasted women fighting it out, so if thats what you're looking for, this isn't too bad.

...but then I haven't read any of Im Dal-Young's other stuff. So it seems new to me. I did sort of like the Legend of Maian, though, even if all that talk about Felix's blood baffles me. He never even got any decent training, poor chap.

The second part is a Whoa Complete Reverse from the first. Didn't see it coming at all and I kinda like it... but it's taking a really long time to get any explanations, and in the meantime it's confusing.

This isn't really a spoiler per-say, but It's an indication of when it goes into Arc 2, which will definitely split the readers into lovers or haters of the series.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
If you hate cliche shounen series, SKIM through UNTIL Ch. 58.
If you hate total 180° Time skip plot twists, STOP reading AFTER you finish Ch. 57.

Love it has everything a Shounen lover wants good action, weak to strong theme, good romance, and part 2 jst blows the mind. I mean shoot this has got to be the best shounen/Seinen(shifts to this in part 2) out there. but to bad the releases are slow
