Description
1-3) The Sky Over My Spectacles Even though Azumas "spectacle fetish" is infamous, guys are out of the question, and Sorachi is definitely way out of the question - hes too serious for him to even carry on a decent conversation with. One day, however, Azuma finds Sorachi asleep without his glasses, and can't help himself from kissing him! Glasses may be the thing that attracts Azuma to Sorachi... or is it?
4) Let's Fall in Love Minami always seems to walk in on Sawai being confessed to! Sawai doesn't know how good he has it, being beloved by cute girls. But there's a reason Sawai turns them down...
5) Let's Meet at One O'Clock Every day Detective Saegusa Noritaka has an unwilling lunch date in serious cafe worker Nanase Ikumi. But every time Saegusa tries to get closer Nanase pulls away.
6) Kirishima (Saegusa's assistant)'s younger neighbor Tetsuji is getting ready to go to college. Kirishima's always had a crush on the younger man, but has never been able to tell him. But before he leaves, Tetsuji suddenly kisses him!
The art is mediocre at best, the characters extremely flat and the stories are awkward, boring and cliche. The plot is jumpy and poorly narrated IMO. Not worth your time if you have any other yaoi stories on your to-read-list.
The first and third couple's characters were kinda shallow and not developed fully. I really like the second couple, though. Minami is so cute in his cluelessness, and Sawai-kun's reaction to him is cute, too. xD
For all the hype that I heard this was getting, I was disappointed. After finally getting my hands on a copy, and reading through the stories, it felt very "mainstream".
Sure, the art is fantastic, and the synopsis caught my attention, but the plot was lacking quite a bit. One point to bring up— Azuma brought up the subject of "gender barrier", but he so easily fell in love; it felt like it lacked reason and basis, too. The beginning started out with Sorachi's character coming off as a cold, know-it-all, but he quickly turned into a "I'm too innocent, I need someone to protect me" kind of uke; I'm not sure if this was intentional, or if I was the only one who noticed this.
I've only barely got through two chapters, and will likely only skim the rest since this fails to draw my attention for more than a few minutes. If you're looking for something that's already been done, and just want to go "omg cute!" like every other yaoi fangirl/boy, go ahead and read this. However, if you're like me, and want a little more bang for your buck, look elsewhere.
The story is very sweet and if you are a hopeless romantic (who I am not) then this story is the one for you. There are just some quirks the manga had the I didn't like. First off, I really dislike those type of ukes who are more girls on the inside than anything else. Like in the main story. Other than that, I only suggest it to the soft hearted people who just wants a cute read.
Mio Tennouji's art is unique, and her boys are always pretty. The main story in this volume is my favorite. The two boys are so cute and sweet to each other. The story is very touching and sexy.
But I personally really loved this story. Its nothing special, plot wise, the arts incredible (as par usual with this mangaka) so I'm not sure why I like it so much. Meh, probably personal preference, but I recommend it to all yaoi readers. It also has a pretty good explicit scene if I remember... Not random or anything, it fits the story.
