This manga consists of oneshots that are loosely connected with each other.

Chapters 1 and 3 focus on the new relationship between Shiba, a high-school student, and his teacher Onosaka. Things are not going well -- sensei has an inferiority complex because Shiba likes large-breasted girls.

Chapters 2 and 4 are about Inuo (a friend of Shiba's, who's quite the player with girls) and Natsuda, a boy with whom he finds himself in a love hotel the morning after a wild party. Inuo would just like to forget everything because he's definitely not gay, but Natsuda wants to be his friend so badly that he can't turn him down. Natsuda turns out to be a cheerful and engaging companion, and Inuo starts to spend more and more time with him, going to movies and hanging out. But when he finds himself embracing Natsuda again, he pushes him away -- because he's definitely not gay!

Chapter 5 introduces Shiba's brother Keisuke and his friend Aki. Aki wants to do more than kiss, but Keisuke only went along with the kissing because it was Aki who asked him. So now that summer break has arrived he avoids Aki. But when Aki stops calling and avoids him in turn, he's not happy at all.

Chapter 6 is an unconnected oneshot called Yasashii Kuchibiru (Gentle Lips). Yuki and Kaneda are childhood friends, neighbours, and more, but Yuki never seems to have time for Kaneda.

Chapter Extra: Secrets of a youth Kei and Aki three years later and now in high-school dealing with some "growing pains".

Nothing exceptional

I remember my first time coming across this manga a few years ago, and it was an absolutely horrid experience, causing me to ignore the author like the plague in a long time. Now that I've had my fair share of BL after years spent on it, I gotta say the manga's actually more tolerable than my first impression, though that's not saying much to be honest. The stories are still the same formula, with typical seme-uke dynamics and characterisations, eg in both the first story and last one-shot, the seme's a douche and the uke's hopelessly pathetic, which is never a good device yet sadly overused a lot of the times. The artwork is also so-so, it's neat and clean, but not very expressive or pretty enough for my taste. I guess the chibis and the humour are the only saving points for me.

I don't know this one could be sooo cute! smile To think this one is made by Nekota Yonezou-sensei, i think this one kinda... kinda... how should i say? Her manga is good, and unique. Which mean so different from others, and quite my favorite. But this one is kinda different. Though still showing so many side that this one is definitely Her work, but still kinda different. Or maybe because this one is the 'old' one? Well... whatever. I LOVE IT! (●´□`)~♥ Hooo My FAVE AGAIN!

I read it cause it's from the same mangaka as Otona Keikenchi, which I loved.
but this wasn't good at all. especially the first story about a student and teacher, but I guess every manga where the teacher is uke is going to be bad. I didn't like him at all. he was so childish, the second couple was better but not great. and it was just too fast. so if you are reading yaoi just for H scenes, you can go for it. but don't wait a story.

okay, I admit it was cute, but maybe too cute. i mean the second uke (crybaby), and that story about the middle schoolers?? well, just saying.

Haha, everyone in this series is either gay or a woman. That's so cliché. But putting that aside, this is still a good yaoi story. The plot is (not surprisingly) not really that substantial - but the art and the hotness is in good shape, so this is above average in my opinion.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Onosaka (the sensei) is right; Shiba x Inou would be awesome

I really enjoyed this with most of this manga ka's work. Over all it was good read but not one of my fave. (as in I won't be re-reading it anytime soon). It was cute and funny reading. I really liked the art work too. Over all I would still recamend this to Yaoi fans to read.

it was insanely cute.. i suppose i have a thing for insecure semes.. so this was great for me ;D

the inuoxnatsuda pairing definitely made me curl up and fawn.

Trite but good for a one time read and has really good art.

BTW, I want to congratulate whoever scanlated this for getting the spelling of "definitely" correct. I'm not a grammar nazi or anything, but that one word ALWAYS PISSES ME OFF. :3 Thanks for reading.

Tsuyogari was one of the first Yaoi series I'd ever read and because of that, I will always speak kindly of it. The stories are cute and the characters are interesting. There were only a few things I found disappointing about it though. First of all, it was a little underdeveloped. Secondly, the characters were a little shallow. But most of all, I found it annoying to have the Seme and Uke roles so obvious in character and style.
That being said, I still love Tsuyogari. Chapter Five is my favourite of the volume, probably because it is innocent and the characters aren't so heavily stereotyped.

Christ Natsuda is cute! Even the outfits he wears.

Any way the first couple, the student and the teacher, are alright, but not my favourite. Inuo and Natsuda are though, the way Inuo shifts from being sure he isn't gay, to being confused, to realizing he is in love is really quite adorable, and Natsuda's willingness to try to just be friends to get closer is so sweet. The last part about the kids was cute too, it really drove across how hurt the other boy felt. I think it's kind of funny that every one in this series is gay though.

Oneshot is reviewed on it's own page.

The couple that made me love the manga wasn't the main one, but rather Natsuda and Inuo. I really loved their characters. Natsuda was just so sweet. However, the stories of the other couples were good too. The sensei was a little immature, but I guess that was just because he was feeling insecure. But all of the stories were cute and funny, and I cracked up at how overprotective Shiba was of his little brother.
