I thought it was your typical, hackneyed fluffy, sweet, shoujo manga but the last pages of chapter 1 proved me wrong. Now I can say I'm anticipating the next chapter as well just to know what happens next. And it doesn't hurt that the artwork for Giri Koi is refreshingly cute and shoujo style all the same.

this story is sooo sweet ! the art is cute and the plot is original! whereas everything would be a complicated situation in a normal shoujo story, here the characters make the story goes so smoothly and it makes sense and we wanna know more !

it reminded me somewhat of koko ni iru yo! by ema tooyama, except already the plot seems to be moving a lot faster and the cute overload is toned down just a tad compared to koko ni iru yo.
i personally prefer this manga, and the mangaka really manages to create realistic but still adorable year sevens! or 'first years'...

i wasn't expecting much from the story... at first it was just a means to pass the time. but alas! I was wrong again. i only make 2 kind of reviews... for those story that earned a space worth mentioning coz their story is good and those that are sooo bad that i need to warn others not to bother reading. Giri Koi belonged to the first. its memorable. and sweet. don't underestimate this manga. recommended!!

This is the prime example of a manga where there would be no drama if the characters just asked questions or talked to each other. There's nothing particularly wrong with it other than that I guess, except maybe that the characters are kind of boring. To be blunt, there's not actually much I liked or disliked. I think 5/10 is the most appropriate score for such a mediocre manga.

Going into the story it seemed interesting, the whole "prince" thing is what got me interested in the first place, yet nothing much develops after that. What really killed the story for me is the final 2 chapters. I mean they made no sense, how was it our heroine's fault? didn't he tell her Miu wasn't his girlfriend? also the personality displayed by our heroine is completely different then the one we see at the beginning of the manga. You would think she was a strong character but all you get from her is self doubt, anxiety and regret.

Based off chapter 1, it appears to be quite a light/happy and fun type of manga, as opposed to say Kyou Koi wo Hajimemasu which is a bit more adversarial/darker with the main characters.

Looking forward to the next chapter smile
