It was all right... by Lord_Lucifiel on May 8th, 2008, 9:59pm

I didn't care that much for the characters, even though I really do like vampires. Also, it was kinda annoying how the story ended.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
I understood how you could've had angst and melodrama in the story but... meh, killing off one of the main characters in such a overdramatic manner was totally over the top. It was like the mangaka went "screw that" and decided to replace all thoughts and memories of parental/brotherly love and relations with thoughts of suicide, death, etc. in King's mind.

Furthermore, the way the kid turned out, was too much of an imitation of Claudine(the little girl) from Interview of the Vampires as Pathos didn't have the lush richness and twisted elegancy of the former story. In the end, I preferred Volume 1 over Volume 2 where the story was still dominated by plot and not sex and where the kid didn't turn into some kinda psychotic nympho.
Guess I prefer many of her other titles, instead.

Vampire Kiss! Yeah, more by neitent on December 9th, 2007, 1:13pm

I never thought it's possible to draw the vampire bite so pornographic. So much passion in penetrating bare neck with fangs. may be sometimes it was lack of classic yaou (and huge organs through the whole screen ;)) but this manga is really hot. And have a plot. And it's Sadahiro Mika )

Not my fave by grooveygirl on June 24th, 2007, 12:01pm

Now Mika Sadahiro is one of my favorite artist, but his series is missing something. Maybe is was the smut that you usually see throughout many of her other mangas. Her drawing is still good but this series just felt a little to drawn out for me.

Wait, wait, let me find my legwarmers and some My Little Ponies. by ebifry on June 16th, 2007, 11:52am

I could've done without the jheri curls/Whitesnake look. Even in the 80s, I wasn't young, stupid, or blind enough to think it was hot, and I certainly don't think it's hot now. Still, the story has its moments of (superficial) angst and, hey, I didn't absolutely hate the characters. (It would've been nice, though, if this *yaoi* story didn't pretend that poking holes in necks with sharp teeth = hot sex.)

yay, vampires! by deathbypenguin on February 6th, 2007, 2:04pm

This has a really stupid cover for the first volume, but the story is actually really good. It's been a long time since I've read something I couldn't put down. Usually manga is predictable, but I had no idea what was going to happen with this one. So, if you like vampires, and don't mind BL, than definitely read this.
