Description
During a flashback, an interviewer inquires Kuzumi Taiga, a prospective student for Seinagi Private High School, on what he would do if he could use magic, during his entrance interview. He replies, "take over the world", with an outburst of laughter, from an attractive girl, following his answer.
After the entrance exam, the school rejects his application; although he recalls almost nothing after this event, he does recall the girl, and believes the cause of his school of choice rejecting his application involves her.
Wandering around outside of the school the next day, Kuzumi tries to enter, but an invisible barrier blocks him. A teacher, Mr. Hiiragi, confuses Kuzumi for a student of the school ditching class and pulls Kuzumi into the school through the barrier.
Seinagi Private High School is actually a magic school and Mr. Hiiragi has just accidentally pulled Kuzumi, a teenager with no magical skill, through the barrier into this school.

I've read this manga several times and i love it wish it would have been continued though, i feel like it was just getting to the good part now that Kuzumi was gonna be on equal footing. i say its worth a continuation.

The ending is painful... but read it anyway

Let me begin by saying that the ending of Mx0 is weak, because it was axed due to lack of popularity. Disregarding the ending, this manga is a beacon of hope that shows how romance and action can work together in a shounen manga without neglecting one or the other.

The protagonist of Mx0 is not typical of the traditional harem. While most male protagonists of harem mangas are WEAK but lucky, the protagonist of Mx0 is STRONG but UNLucky. He gets himself into misunderstandings that serve as fodder for comedy, and uses his strong will and wits to save the day. So for anyone who is annoyed at the traditional harem manga, Mx0's atypical protagonist will without a doubt provide a refreshing change.

Going back to my initial point: Mx0 is the epitome of romance and action mixed together. Often, shounen mangas that attempt to mix romance into action tend to neglect one or the other as the plot progresses. I'm sure you can think of a manga where there is romance and action, but one is less significant compared to the other. On the other hand, Mx0 executes this mix perfectly. Almost every chapter and arc in Mx0 is dedicated to the relationship between Taiga (the protagonist) and one of the girls. The action takes place as a consequence of romantic situations, but it is definitely not insignificant. The action is interesting (i.e: Taiga's bloody training, school festivals) and actually drives the manga forward, all the while strengthening the romance.

A possible flaw of Mx0 is that the romance does not go anywhere: none of the relationships are fully developed. Well, the reason for that is again, the manga was axed. If you can overlook this fact, you will definitely enjoy Mx0. It's funny, has great action, good ecchi scenes... it's the whole package.

So yeah. The ending is painful (because the manga is SO DAMN GOOD), but read it anyway.

One of the true gems that got axed. Its such a shame that it ended without really resolving anything, but I guess it's probably better than some half-assed ending most manga have. It's really good and enjoyable (minus the ending part) but since the manga ended that way, the author can easily create a sequel, if given the chance.

Judging from how it ended, the author is seriously screaming for a sequel. Well, that goes my 2 cents

Easily one of the greatest manga to ever get axed. I don't know whose idea it was for this to stop, but that person should feel bad. Especially when it was coming close to something huge. So far I'm liking the mangaka's new manga, but I really wish he would somehow continue this.

The characters turned out to be different than I first thought, and more likeable. The plot turned out to be less important than I believed, but the characters and the art made up for it.
The romance was also really sweet.

But still: It's no masterpiece and I'll never claim it is one, but Mx0 is nevertheless a good manga. It's not deep, but I never even expected it to be. It's just a really enjoyable read with its own sweet and moments.

This one of few manga that I seriously loved. The characters were entertaining, the story was good, and the concept of magic in the manga was very intriguing to me. The art wasn't necessarily the best, but it suited the manga. When I found out this manga got cancelled I was extremely upset over the lost potential, but this manga was still by far one of my favorites, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good read, and won't mind the unfulfilling ending.

The Ending Wasn't THAT Bad

Don't let the comments about the ending stop you from reading this manga. The ending was lacking compared to the rest of the manga but all in all it wasn't that bad. The only biggie is that the latter half of the plot does foreshadow some major hurdles but the ending (probably due to the manga being axed) really left a lot of the potential conflicts hanging.

The rest of the manga was great though. It had a light and comical plot with a good protagonist. The only other problem I had was that about half way through the manga (chapter 53) there was a great opportunity to do something special with the plot but it wasn't developed.

Oh. And there isn't any hardcore ecchi at all, just a little fan service here and there.

Mx0 is a shounen where the protagonist is in a magic school...with no magic! He gets by with his wits and its just great watching him get out of the most difficult situations.

We know it got axed, but there is a reason why this manga got over 1800 reviews (almost all in the 8,9,10 range). It is still a great manga =D. Check it out!
