Description
From Infinity Studios: Having been born in a secret government laboratory that cultivated esper (telepathic) powers within humans, Shuuichi and two sisters, Sumire and Katsumi, are forced to endure a difficult life as test subjects until their escape. Years later, these siblings are still being sought after by unknown organizations that are after Shuuichi's powers as he is what they refer to as the “zero-sample” with the ability to cause “zero-shock.”
Seriously. The manhwa started with a lot of potential. I was so hooked because it introduced us telepathic powers and laboratory tests. The first 2 volumes were good. But that's where it ends.
Later it is getting turned into a meaningless fights show where the main hero is getting stronger and stronger. He has no development at all and he fight random enemies. Then a bunch of random people from various organizations appear to aid him. Meanwhile, it has a lot of violence or rapes.
Anyway, towards the end, the manhwa changes direction and it gives some Neon Genesis Evangelion vibes. Not to mention the

thing that looked like Gundam. It was so random and nothing was explained.
The ending was so rushed too.
The artwork was bad.
Lastly, it felt like an incomplete story. Although I am aware that it has some sequels but they are not about the same characters.
Hmm...it's not as bad as I thought. It was interesting in the beginning, then it started to dumb down into your typical shounen action manga. Not only it didn't stop there, the characters became messed up....one moment they are the bad guys and violence explodes, and the next moment they became the good guys and were docile. Normally, we see those kinds in your typical manga. However, the transition was akward and weird and it doesn't make it easy to believe they are on the side of the good guys.
So I have to say I liked it in the beginning, continued downward slowly into dislike, extreme dislike toward the ending, and then had an ok moment for the ending. I'm just sad how messed up it became toward the end that I had a moment of just throwing down this manga down, but I forced myself to read toward the end. So this is your typical hate/love manhwa. You either hate it or love the series overall.
The only good thing is the battle scenes, so I'll say I'll just look back into it for battle references. Other than that, it's not worth rereading it.
This manwha has a good beginning and decent development in storyline for the first few chapters. However, this is where the positives end.
The plot is hurried towards the middle of the story and after this point the decline in quality of manwha is hard to miss. The scientific aspects of the storyline and the relationship between characters are not established clearly - Hence, the manwha loses its plot and becomes very laborious to read and hard to accept.
The above misgivings conveys the feeling that the author was not clear about the storyline himself or was dissatisfied with the resulting manhwa. My feelings are probably justified by the two sequels which contained completely different plots and a terrible ending to this manwha(which has many loose ends)!
To summarize, this manwha creates initial expectations but concludes as a consummate clusterfuck(pun intended at the incestuous aspects of this manhwa)!
wth The concept of a father and daughter is worse than siblings... Art was plain, all the fighting scenes were lame and full of cruel violence... The plot was not smooth or interesting at all...
This series can be accurately described as a slide-show of meaningless fights against the backdrop of a vague story that is suddenly cheaply tied up with no effort to explain what the hell just went on and why.
Characters have nothing going for them and most of them serve no purpose except as a trigger for the next action sequence and by the time everything is over you can't even remember who they are.
The art is not at all impressive and it seems to take a dive in quality later on.
and i still dont know what happened in the manga , and characters were very fast disposable O_O i always check what year it is released so , if it is from 2000 ,im guesing he was still thinking or experimenting ?
either way it has great action scene's and is very brutal on people dying all over the place ,(i very dislike seeing females getting killed misstreated etc ;_: ) but manga has no plot or a very vague one , and the plot has alot of holes in it
This is, without a doubt, one of the worst series that I've ever read. There's no character or story development. It just goes from one fight to another. I don't even know what to say because the skeleton story and background are just to show off the fights and don't leave anything to talk about.
Reading this is like looking at a slide show with no commentary. Don't read this if you're looking for anything more than fancy but pointless battles.
i dont think ive ever read a manga that has stated off so promising than just spirals and crashes into itself...such a disappointment it was pissing me off reading the last 10 chapters...dont make ur heart go through reading this
I've been following this manga for years and now that it's finally completely translated (big thanks to hellz0ne) I'll do a little review. I see the reviews tend to be polarized, very love or hate and that is understandable.
The artwork in my opinion is amazing. Battles are dynamic and exciting. The style of the battles is rather unique compared to other action mangas due to the focus on psychic energy and the ways in which this can be used. This is certainly the selling point of the manga.
The story is in a word, nonsense. The story merely serves as a vehicle for more cool battles. The "normal" character interactions and story progression are fine but the overall plot is full of plot holes and makes little sense. The characters are a mixed bag with a decent number of likable characters as well as a lot of characters who behave in very inconsistent, confusing ways. I found Shuuichi and the "good" female characters very appealing but many of the other characters are a mess. One second they are killing puppies for fun (not literally) next minute they are all nice and chummy.
There is a lot of dark, cruel stuff in this manga. Implied rape, strong violence, deaths, etc. However, bad guys (very ambiguous who is a bad guy in this manga btw) tend to survive and be portrayed as decent people thereafter (unrealistically). There's little justice going on here. Not exactly Hokuto no Ken/Souten no Ken.
edit: I'm dropping the score to a 6. i just dont have fond memories of this anymore because the story is so stupid and all the dumb crap that happened to haruka. artwork is so good though...*sigh*
Wow, in the beginning and in the middle of the story, I thought that this manga had some potential of becoming a fun read. But closer to the end, it just felt that the author got bored with it and needed an excuse to end it. The ending was CRAP. I strongly urge you NOT to read this manwha and waste your time, if you have not done so yet.
