I am a little conflicted with this one, I really like it but at the time I wish the mangaka has made the main male lead a little older. The age gap dosen't bother me, although there's probably a decade between him and Chiroru (it might bother some readers). Still, Aki is only fourteen, very young and still in middle school, while Chiroru is 24. To compound these things, theres also an.. err.. event (you can probably guess from looking to the 'caegories section') which also leaves me a little conflicted about reading this manga.
Still, If you're okay with these things, I wouldn't dismiss this manga out of hand. It's very funny, and the characters really make the plot what it is. I love Aki's personality, very niave and child-like, but he also grows as the manga progresses. Particularly though, I love Chroru's character, as not only does she have a backbone, she dosen't just sit around and cry when people are in danger. Thats rare as it is, but it's even rarer for shoujo drawn a decade ago.
okay, so just a fair warning to those who don't like very young romantic leads (I almost didn't read it for that reason alone). Still, like I said, if you don't mind that it is pretty funny, and the characters are likable. It's definately worth it if you want a laugh.
