There's one fine long beautiful and touching story in the beginning. Well... maybe not so long but you have an impression that it took at least one volume. A real gem, with strong plot and background. There's mystery, cheating, love-hate relationship and strange longing, honestly, there's a lot more, you'd better find it out by yourself. It took me by surprise - I failed with predicting the end of the story - it was nice. Also the art is up to my liking, a real-life kind, a bit sketchy but it suits the story. Also the sex scenes are quite decent. I like this a lot, it made me feel various kinds of feelings. I'm delighted, I'm sure I'll reread it a few more times, it was fun. There are other stories in here, generally the whole thing is far away from being average.
It's definitely worth to read although it may not make the same impression on people who prefer "cute" stories.

The main story was lovely and beautiful but the shining gem was "en el parquet". This story was about an elderly

couple, with one partner suffering from what seemed to be Alzheimer's. Very touching and heart warming.

I though that the concept was great. All the oneshots begun well, I just didn't really get to connect with the characters. When I was just starting to like the story, it would end... Anyway, it's still a good read.

So, honestly, I think Est Em writes what I think seem to be, the most intelligent BL manga out there. They're so well thought out, so interesting and unique to the BL-universe. This manga is no exception to that either.
It's almost dazzling, how you feel like you're in Maurice's place, yearning after the person in the painting that you've loved for all your life. Though Yves Also, after having taken Art History this year, I had was ecstatic when they mentioned Eugene Delacroix.
The first story was probably my favorite, but I happened to fancy the others quite a bit as well.
I also love that Est Em's stories tend to take place all over (well, France and Spain primarily) rather than just in Japan.

this manga was sooo beautiful...the art was beautiful, the plot, and foreign setting was also a plus. If you're in for a mellow emotional ride to yaoi this one is perfect. I cried every time! but don't get confused, this isn't a tragedy....just a soft drama, give it a try!

My first manga from Est Em, and I have to say I'm impressed. Her stlye is very unique, though maybe it's not for everyone's taste. There are more oneshots in this manga, but the first one (the title story) was the best in my opinion. It had everything in it to became a truly unforgettable and memorable piece of work. Since I'm a hopeless romantic I was a bit sad at the end but
The other stories were enjoyable too, so I definitely recommend this manga. Main story is 10, the others are 8-9. Read them.

after reading the three extras (I'm not sure they all are included in the book because two of the extras were posted separately on the site I downloaded it) I cheered up. Seems like Yves still continues to come out of the painting to Maurice from time to time. :D I was sure that he went back for good at the end of the oneshot so I'm happy to see otherwise, and thus I don't have any complaints about it now.^^

a very skillful and artistic plot, one great story. it is a one shot but still it really surprised me. it is both sad and lovely in the same time, the story of a soul which ran away from the cage of a frame to finally finds his peace in the arms of a lover. truly beautiful, I just adore this author and her stories, she will be one of top 10 in my great manga ka list for ever.
