Saya is an ordinary, lethargic female high school student. While she was alone at karaoke, singing enthusiastically a song of her favorite artist, Takase Kazuki, the person himself was watching her…?!
2 Volumes (Complete)

I find the story maybe too rushed and bubbly.. Some parts I don't really understand why they were put in cause it would just get replaced without any notice in the next chapter
what I mean by rushed is.. Guy bumps into girl.. She has to sing and agrees very fast for someone that doesn't like to sing In front of people... Then the "other guy" gets shit down instantly! Then the potential ex girlfriend drama is squashed like a bug in one conversation.. What could have been the "other other guy" ends up being just some dude that likes to randomly kiss people for no reason... The drama is squashed with one conversation... And the build up about his secret is so boringly presented in the end...
I found that every problem worked out a little too easily... As well as all the potential in the story add ons went absolutely nowhere.. Kinda made it a boring story.. Like the art. Wished the dude had crazier hair though.

Honestly, authors need to come up with better settings and storylines. The setting of this one is stupidly similar to "Tenshi no Uta," which was not so great either.
See the bad reviews for my sentiments. This manga wasn't memorable. at. all.
...in various areas. Like un3xpectedfate stated, it's rushed too much for a smooth development and honestly, it would have been pretty good if it made more sense. There's too much that is unexplained and just cast off as rubbish (all the things in un3xpectedfate's list). If the details and back story wasn't going to be explained, why include them when they don't serve a purpose?
Well, I didn't mind it too much since I was getting off my reading list and into the complete list as I have been letting it rot there for years. It's okay to pass the time with and doesn't get on your nerves.
This story felt really rushed and the mangaka tried to tie so many loose ends in very few pages. Here are my main complaints:
Takase's ex-girlfriend - He mentioned that he first wanted Saya to sing for a horrible reason and Erina pointed out that it was due to Saya's resemblance of hers. The whole ex-girlfriend leaving him for a solo debut was left like that. NOTHING was resolved after this. I would have liked to have more said about this because we only heard bits about it, but not fully what happened.
Saya's friend - He had a crush on her and the last we saw (before the ending) was him saying "That's not what I meant." Nothing was said after that. How did he and Saya make up after that? In the end, he's dating Saya's friend who liked him in the beginning but nothing was shown about that. I believe this character was included in the beginning for a love triangle, but the mangaka got bored with him and moved on to the guitar guy.
Guitar Guy - He says in the end that he knows everything about Takase. Who was he, anyway? I get that he was the acoustic guitar guy the manager talked about, but there was no background info on him. He just appeared out of nowhere.
Saya's Sister - She obviously had an effect on Saya. I would have liked to see more of why this character make Saya feel so unworthy and untalented.
Things that were fixed at the last minute- The whole Takase being a part of Raven was resolved in like 2 panels. Same with his voice problem and the leaving of the music industry for his grandfather's company. I was so disappointed by how everything was resolved.
All in all, this entire series seemed rushed and planned poorly. It's sad because it had a lot of potential in the beginning.
I thouht this was really cute. Sure it may have had moments where it was really cliched, but I still think it stood well on its own. I loved the characters, I thought they were really funny, especially Saya. I thought Takase was so adorable the way he was so dishonest about his feelings haha
The art to me was wonderfully done. Definitely above average, and really made the story enjoyable. I really wish that it was longer though. I really didn't want this to end. I think it could've been stretched out a little more. This was definitey at least a 5 volumer haha
I wondered how Saya's parents and older sister felt about her debuting. I mean, her sister was all everyone talked about, and no one believed that Saya could sing. Her sister must've been a little jelly seeing Saya doing what she hasn't. And even though Takase is such a bishie, her parents must've had some qualms about him being so much older than her. Anyway, I'm glad that she chose to stay with him in the end after all they've been though together. And even though he asked her out not really because he liked her, he ended up loving her so much!! I mean "you're the first person I've ever been afraid of losing" Swoon and him telling her if you choose to stay with me then i'm never letting you go again. Oh my, my lol
This is the first and maybe last time I'll say this but I wish it was longer. It felt rushed at the end. Also some of it was really cliche. One of the characters basically disappears until the last page so they never pick up between him and Saya. I just wish it had been planned out better and there were maybe three or four more chapters.
I also have to agree that the main character is not annoying or stupid thank you god.
I have a hard time remembering anything so I think I will definitely forget this manga. Just a time killer. It was pretty nice, she should've had a fling with hiragi though. :3 Or well, I think so. I couldn't bring myself to appreciate the plot.. Come on, really, a teenage girl debuting? Not very original.
It is an entertaining manga and although the idea of a young girl debuting as a singer has been done many times it is definitely an original manga in it's own right.
But I found it somewhat frustrating to read sometimes. possible spoilers ahead - like when the main guy speaks coldly to her as he helps a rival singer debut. She gets all upset before her debut song and ends up thinking she was in the wrong for yelling at him. None of it would have happened if he'd just explained it to her.
And then the main guy says some totally awful things to her to protect her from the press and, lets be serious, he didn't have to go that far either.
So a little annoying, but overall a good read.
A very enjoyable manga. I had the opportunity to read summaries of the last few chapters that haven't been scanlated/translated yet, and I think it's a quite good series. I really like the concept. ;3 This is just my opinion, but I think the mangaka could have made the manga better... Or they could have developed the story more. =/ I also didn't really like the cliche element of the guy sacrificing something for the heroine and covering it up with being cruel to her... x-x
