I liked this as much as the other books and it's a joy to see more details of the characters, like how Mikado really feels when his always cool facade crumbles, and Towa's worries...

I LOVE that scene with Yuu and Mikado in the super market! This manga has some scenes that are so funny and unique that I've not seen them anywhere else in that manner!
Yuu in general is such a big troll, he's one of the funniest comic relief characters ever! Wish he'd get even more stage time.

All of the warui koto series is really good and interesting to read! At the very least, I get to see some progression on Towa and Mikado's relationship biggrin Indeed, Towa is a very blunt and not sharp fella but he's cute in his own way which makes the story much better than the first smile

I think this couple is pretty adorable. One is sweet and boyish and kind of simple, and the other is sharp and serious and more reserved. It's a fun contrast sometimes. I liked that I could actually believe Mikado's insecurity about Towa's feelings - a lot of times in manga it's crazy, unfounded jealousy and insecurities. But here, Towa was actually pulling away, and Mikado saw that and got worried. Thus, reasonable insecurities.

BUT, it still does that BL thing where the guy bottoming for some reason pretends like he doesn't like sex (but then in his internal monologue he is actually having a good time). I don't know why authors always do that, but it's NOT sexy. It's like faux-rape sometimes and it's really uncomfortable for me. I had to skip the sex in this one.

Some of the chapters that were translated were not great. The translation was iffy at best and the cleanup on it was non-existent. Not unreadable, but definitely distracting.

Also, "Super Slim" condoms? Lol!

I actually think that the characters are quite consistent. The main differences of this volume and previous ones are: the mangaka has bared Mikado’s thoughts to us, and the story is placed at the point of time when they have already become quite emotionally intimate with each other.

Throughout the whole series, Mikado has shown a tendency of getting angry when he is actually feeling some other emotion. In Warui Koto Shitai, jealousy. In Waruiko Demo Ii?, the feeling of being rejected. In Warui Yatsu Demo Ii, concern for Towa. Then in this volume, jealousy/possessiveness again.

As the series progressed, the mangaka reveals more of Mikado’s feelings and thoughts. In the 1st volume, he wore a cool façade most of the time with occasional hints of deep adoration for Towa and jealousy when Towa seemed close to Shinonome. In each subsequent volume, the façade was peeled off a little. In this volume, parts of the story are actually told from his perspective. This may have resulted in the character seeming different.

Towa is still as simple-minded, full of confusions, and adorable as previously. Although he seems a tiny little bit quicker on the uptake.

Overall, I am glad the mangaka made these changes. It has produced a sense of progression. It is only natural that greater intimacy means greater vulnerability and lesser guardedness. If the formula stayed the same (Towa trying to run, Mikado catching him), the series would feel quite stagnant.
