Where do I start.... Okay so this manga is about 16 volumes which seems really long but seriously, if you just be patient and keep reading, i guarantee you won't regret it. Personally, I loved this manga right when I started reading Volume 1. It's hilarious, the characters are so strong and pure and the plot really got to me. You really see the whole concept of "hard work always pays off in the end." There's definitely a lot of character growth in all the characters! I love the relationship between Umi and Naka and how it isn't so rushed nor is it too slow. I love the potential Umi and Naka had in the beginning and how they kept going and stayed strong no matter what anybody said or did all because they had each other. That's probably the biggest thing I loved about this manga.. how they were there for each other no matter what as friends, lovers, workers, classmates. You really see "forever" in their relationship and that's something you rarely find. And lastly, I love how they grew up together and you can really see it as you keep reading. They go from kids to puberty to grown ups. Highly Recommended, it was absolutely amazing. Keep reading, you won't regret it.
The Ending:

Perfect! I LOVE how they show everyone 3 years later.. Umi and Naka at 18 years old and at the top for modelling! Everyone being so successful and happy and loved. It really wrapped up nicely and I couldn't have asked for a better ending, it was perfect.
All in all, 10/10! Perfect Story and Perfect Ending.
Well, I'm a fan of gender bender manga and I sure do like this series, in fact I follow this series since volume 1 till 16 when it's released in my country and that took me years xD no regret though! This manga is funny, especially Naka. I mean LOL her expression xD
I like to see how Umi grows up. How he was actually feels insecure ... I also like to see Naka grows into a prettier girl she already is <3
I give it a 8.5 out of 10 because... I don't remember all of the storyline. lol xD but there were some parts that I kind of confused (idk why D: maybe i wasn't focusing enough on reading ? hehe) but after I re-read I might change it to a higher one! ^^
It's recommended to read, especially if you like manga with the characters keeping secret and all (like me~!!)
i got hooked up on this a few years back after seeing it on a bookshop. i waited patiently for the scans and it`s 3 years now and it never disappointed me. there are times when it`s kinda boring esp. the parts of the side characters` past and everyhting but c`mon. Naka`s expressions, Umi`s cuteness and just the really cute and irresistible love story? They make my day no matter how glum or pissed I am. The art is really reallllllly awesome (though at times I forget who is who) but still! wonderful read. Gender bender comedy that`s outside your typical 'all boys school' plots.
I absolutely adore this series!! It never fails to make to lol =] My favorite character by far has to be Naka, she might be a little dim witted, but she is soo cute and funny. I just can't wait for Naka and Umi to mature into the characters I have a feeling they'll be >.<
Update It's finally over and I couldn't be any happier. Naka and Umi are too cute. And they grew just the way I imagined. Of course some things never change haha but this was really lovely. This wasn't just about romance and self growth, but I loved the friendship depicted. It's awesome knowing that you have great group of people who'll always have your back =D
It's hard to read unless you find the side characters interesting. Most of the story focuses on Naka failing as a model. Meanwhile, romance happens with her and Umi without any meaning other than she wants to defeat him/move forward and he can't let go of her. But the worst part is so much effort is place on the romance between the side characters of Mihane and Ikue. This is more about Mihane and Ikue falling in love than Nake and Umi. While Naka and Umi come off as 2D with little personality and little to no effort placed on the development of their romance. If emphasis was placed on Naka and Umi's romance instead of Mihane and Ikue's than this would have been worth reading. Lastly, Mihane is Naka's competitor and she isn't even interesting but there's even a love triangle for her?!
i got the manga books from volume 1 - 6 but it's a shame tokyopop is closed down and not releasing anymore manga books
i'm rereading my manga books before reading onto volume 7 and onwards so i don't know anything beyond volume 6.
i love this series. the art is cute, the comedy is hilarious and Naka especially with her weird poses when she's upset like how she leans on the wall or she's suddenly on the ground crouching over haha.
the only thing that got me confused is how her Mum AND Dad has the same genetic face thing LOL. i was trying to work out how they managed to meet each other with the same condition. if it explains in the story then i guess i'll read and get to it when i have the time. i really hope the mangaka has explained it somewhere!
but yeah, overall, it's a great read and the characters are funny in their own way

BUT I AM RE-READING IT AS OF AFTER-I-FINISH-WRITING-THIS.
C: But this manga is absolutely great! The main character= HILARIOUS. C: She's misunderstood, but a strong, funny, and cute character (cute as in awwwww she's troubled?! AWWW CUTE ((I know I sound like an s right now XD)) C The main lead is awesome. You don't get tired of her, you understand her, and for me, I can RELATE to her! Makes the story that much better!<3 (WOOT) And the guy... ..a...TSUNDERE.
but that's good! xD! Because of those (the main leads) personalities, they make SUCH AN AWESOME PAIR. The story they create together is so interesting, and I love reading it! I was never bored with a single chapter of this manga c:.
AND NOW that more chapters (a LOT more) have been scanlated, IM GONNA HAVE A READING FRENNNNNZZZYYYY!!!!! WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
Anyway, beside my rather-bad-explanation. This manga is awesome c:. I love the characters, the plot line, and what happens in the story ^^

I was right! I missed this manga, and I love it ^^! I am only to volume 2, but I'll hopefully catch up in a few days. >:} SO CUTEE. I love this manga. *Adorable characters (which I have to say, Umi isn't actually a tsundere (..YET x3), but more of an S :L ) *Good PLOT *Exciting occurrences.

Despite what the person below me says, this series is absolutely wonderful. It's hilarious, silly and incredibly sweet. The love between Naka and Umi is so cute. Even though he's a bit temperamental, what he feels for Naka makes me sigh with longing... ahhhh..... *sighs* lol at times their love is very tender, because

as Umi grows as a man, his feelings start to grow. I love the chapter where it begins with Naka describing how Umi seems almost frail and slender and yet when she really looks at his body, she sees how he's growing into a man, and Umi also feels that way about her.
if a good thing happens is because of umi if a bad thing happens its because of naka the story line is horrible so childish the author tries to make umi seem impressive but is making no sense in doing that and the charactor is too clich and seems too forceful i cant believe people actually likes this manga and find it funny i dont even get how it got published
