That book has a lot of drama... To much at times, but i liked it anyway. The first thing I liked about it is the the fact, the couple actually acts like a couple. In most manga, the couple shows no affection whatsoever for each other and it's just as rare to see couples telling each other "I Love You!", but not the case here. They show affection like real couples with plenty of hugging, holding, touching and they use the "L" word almost every other page. This kind of stuff is common in American romance novel, but it's pretty rare in a shoujo book. Regardless, this is a romance comic that actually has plenty of romance.
SO-Na is a strong and independent woman unlike many shoujo leads. She's certainly not weak nor does she spend a lot of time sulking because she doubts the lead males feeling for her. She knew she was loved. Yeah, she was spoiled and a snob at 1st, but her character grew. She didn't allow herself to get bounced around like a pinball.
Another thing that was different about this series is that it didn't have a rushed ending where everything just fell together in the last chapter . Things were really brought to a conclusion right before the final volume. The final volume tied up just a few slightly loose ends and showed what was going on with everyone. So therefore we had a whole volume of closure and to see how things turn out. I think all series should end like this. It's hard when you invest so much time in getting to know a group of characters and it just abruptly ends.
There were times i had to walk away from this because the drama was a little much. But i have to say that this has had the most satisfying ending ever. I finished the series feeling really good. That rarely happens to me when i read this stuff. I admit that I read the scanlations, however,I turned around and ordered a few of the volumes just to keep as a memento.
I almost give this a 10, but the drama did get to be a little much, so i give it a nine and that's a high score for me.
