From Tokyopop: This fantasy adventure fairy tale is based on an adorable sweet girl named Yuuki Wakasa. She's just your typical 5th grader and big sister who's responsible for her three little brothers. One day while walking home she catches a red magic stone that mysteriously falls from the sky. Yuuki soon discovers the stone's magical powers when she looks in the mirror and sees a reflection of a beautiful dark-haired girl who reveals to Yuuki the secret powers of the stone: it allows her to travel from the human world to a dream world known as Takamagahara. Yuuki then realizes that she is the 'chosen one' who must save the Sun from being destroyed in the dream world; otherwise both worlds will fall into complete darkness forever ...

Love it when i was a child. What brought me to this was megumi other work, Saint tail which I still love even now. The plot was great, Characters were cute and adorble. I don't see why people didn't like it.
Sure, the story seems aimed towards the younger crowd and the story is predictable. I know that. But, for some reason, this story was kind of refreshing. It's light and fluffy. It's not that long either. Personally, I liked the series because it was cute and I just didn't get bored while reading it.
Although the plot concept was interesting, it was spoiled by the lackluster writing and clunky character speech. The book seems to be aimed at little kids, and the characters actually seem awkward when speaking to each other. this may be the fault of the editor, but it was not the only reason I put the book down.
I've been contemplating on rather or not I should give this a positive or negative review. The art in some scenes are juvenile. Is it deliberate or an accident? The story does wax and then wane. The characters are cute and entirely to predictable.
