A good read

A kinda sad manga. It pained me every time I thought of how the mc would feel when he realized that his one and only closed friend - who put his feet back on the ground - was already dead a long time ago. It's so heart-breaking. The whole manga filled with comedy moment but after all, it's regretful and bittersweet. I'd love to see more people reading this one.

Made my day ~

This story is quite confusing and very very entertaining at the same time. If ghosts, death and someone's final goodbye upsets you easily it might be better to stay away though.

As for the evil spirit comment, I don't think Crook was one, the common opinion seems to be that you got to forget ALL your memories first. I think he was one in chapter 11 though. That's what confuses me actually - are there evil spirits with control and awareness? If yes, why is it so bad to become one?

I think it's funny that the genre Shounen-ai got added. I admit that some guyxguy stuff happened but that was because of special circumstances and I wouldn't call that shounen-ai. Well, only if they added shounen-ai to Naruto too that is (hehe).

I really reaaally hope that Omari's Sister is gonna continue this. They did great work and this manga made my day =)

A good manga

I find this manga kinda sad. Everyone (except for the protagonist) is dead and they are trying resolve their unfinished business.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
By end of volume 2 you can see that at least 2 of the main character's ghost friends are evil spirits, which is what happens when someone commits suicide or wants revenge.
Despite the serious undertone there is a lot of light-hearted humour.

Over all it's a good manga and you should at least give it a try. Also, despite being labeled 'romance' the romance is nearly non-existent and is really just a part of the humour (so far). Since I'm not being a fan of romance I found this a relief.

I really like this one... it isnt the same as any cliche shoujo plot that you already know what's gonna happen... the story is really different ... i really REALLY like it... the possession part is really funny bigrazz .

so if you like shoujo but is sick of all the recycled stories, then this one is for you... i even think that shounen fans might also like this one biggrin

The Ghost Apartment Manager

This manga starts off normal enough, a shut-in highschooler named Sekka is invited by his friend from elementary school, Leon, to come live with him. While Sekka is basically repressed and awkward, Leon is cool-looking and seemingly quite outgoing. Why would someone as cool as Leon need to ask Sekka to live with him? The answer comes faster to the reader than to poor Sekka as it's revealed that Leon is not what he seems. Soon Sekka realizes he can see and be possessed by ghosts that have unfinished business to handle before they can move on to the afterlife. So starts some awkward moments, especially with the elderly landlord's daughter who seems to be (somewhat) unwittingly attracted to Sekka.

The other review here made me wonder if something really awful happened by the end of volume 1, so I want to assure anyone else who may be concerned that it's really nothing horrible -
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Sekka gets possessed by a female spirit who has a crush on a teacher. At the end of vol. 1 she possesses Sekka and kisses the teacher while in Sekka's body. Sekka pretty much looks like her whenever she possessed him - including suddenly wearing a piece of jewelry in his hair that she always wore, so it doesn't really look that much like shounen ai or whatever to me, at least. Sekka didn't even know what happened until the landlord's daughter, who witnessed the kiss, told him it was okay to be gay, haha.

The art is very lovely and the story definitely makes you want to see what happens next. There's no shortage of various pretty boys, although it's suggested that most of them probably won't be around for the entirety of the story. Overall, very much worth checking this series out!
